I was sorting through my stored frames and found this mess. Thankfully, only a handful of frames were affected. This is what a wax moth can do! I was fascinated by the sheer wealth of mess behind the comb. And the black stuff? Poop!! I scraped all the wax off and disposed of it, and then froze all the frames that I saw with cocoons. This was my fault as I'd seen signs of a wax moth before storage but just assumed I'd got everything. I should have frozen the effected frame before storage.
