Before I watch Gap I just want to say how grateful I am for this show. I have so many favorite wlw ships and so many never got the proper treatment they deserved in the own shows. (All American Shows) This will be the first full length GL that I watch where the plot focus is the romance. Where one or both of them aren't going to die at the end or get separated. Like that is a guarantee it won't happen so I can enjoy the romance and the angst without worry.
To share a recent experience, I watched Maja Ma, an Indian Lesbian Movie staring one of the biggest Indian actresses Madhuri Dixit and the whole time I was afraid something bad was going to happen. Not to mention her love interest has cancer. I almost couldn't enjoy the end on my first watch coz I was so fucking worried someone would die.
But that is not the case with GAP. This is pure, unadulterated romance. This is what BL has gotten since 2018. And I admire Thai Filming Industry too. Coz there isn't much difference between 2018 and 2022. Less than half a decade! And we already have something sapphics have had to fight for, for years and years. A full length piece of media that won't end tragic.
