There's ice and snow up across the northeastern part of the country. And then rain and thunderstorms will be south of the warm front today. Severe weather will occur across parts of Kansas into Missouri this afternoon. While tomorrow, a more widespread severe weather outbreak will occur along the cold front through the Mississippi Valley into the Tennessee Valley and Ohio Valley.. The surface map this morning shows a weak storm system in the Plains with a warm front running generally through the central Plains states. That front is separating warm air down across the southern Plains in Texas and chilly weather across the Great Lakes and Northeast. In fact, the Northeast is cold this morning with some snow showers starting to come in through Ontario, parts of the northern Great Lakes into the Northeast where snow showers will occur. Frostgefahr in der letzten Nacht und ebenfalls in der Nacht zum Samstag. Zumindest ist es ansatzweise der Jahreszeit entsprechen kühl. Doch damit ist schon in Kürze wieder Schluss. Eine markante Warmfront ist auf dem Weg nach Deutschland und wird die Temperaturen in Hessen wieder kräftig ansteigen lassen. Der instinktive Traum nach ein paar Schneeflocken ist damit wieder dahin.
