Once you have loved, witnessing the people, walking among them, seeing that laughter & that sorrow shared & held in equal measure. & have been loved, a passing smile shared, a gentle 'excuse me' as one moves around, a passing greeting, a faint connection ... you cannot forget it.

Koto is driven by her love for people. They are terrible & they are beautiful & they deserve a normal joy & a normal departure, without anything unnatural threatening their lives. Both humans & whatever else exists in the universe she's in. If they are simply people, desiring a normal life, wanting to rewrite their pasts or simply just be, they deserve that normalcy.

Koto has seen lives threatened by cruelty. The blood, the bone, the tears, a grief that shouldn't have come, a death that shouldn't have been, loss that shouldn't have been lost.

Koto has seen people in joy. The laughter, the movements of their feet, the new air surrounding them, the breath seeming lighter, the light surrounding them. Something that belongs. Koto has seen the natural tears by a natural death. A grief kinder than one made by despair & horror. The natural cycle, undisturbed. That is what people deserve.

Why ? Because they exist. They are entitled to such things by existence alone & they are well deserving of it. So, she will push through it all, the sorrows, the wounds, her blood, the visible bone of her cuts, everything, laughing as she loves & protects the people of the world.

The people drive her, The people of this terribly beautiful world are her strength. & because of them, she can keep moving forward.

twins are born as an omen in the sorcerer's world. they are cursed, an individual torn in twain. in the short bout of their lives, they had already known a suffering so great — when first he held the hands of his daughters; small and trembling, he knew he would spend the rest of his life loving them. cruelty was flung upon the three of them but it was their love that would overcome it.

ooc ; i hc he has a difficult time with impulse control, especially as time's gone on. being on the last leg of 1,000 years of servitude, he's especially antsy! and crazy, he's understandably gotten crazier. this carries on to his patience and impulses in other situations, like saying out - of - pocket things, making silly / stupid decisions, and picking fights.

i think it's why he caught steve so recklessly, because the door out was RIGHT there and he couldn't stand playing it inconspicuously anymore.

( though he also couldn't help himself lollygagging for a whole year; i think having fun is something hard to come by in his line of work. )

ooc ; i headcanon that cesare does dabble in makeup! it helps with passing as though it's ALL makeup ( but it's mostly because he's self conscious and it helps him feel pretty, but it'd take a lot to get him to admit it. )

though he's always been a doe - eyed prettyboy with long lashes and full lips, he likes to wear mascara and lipstick. his lips are naturally grey now, but he sometimes wears blue or black! i could also see him powdering on occasion.

other than that, i don't think he has much eyebrow?? at least anymore? he may pencil them in like those thin, goth brows.
