Girls don't want flowers, girls want the War Rig from the 2001 concept art by Peter Pound
I'm working on planning some trips this year, and I'm debating if I want to bring more cos for shoots, while there! I brought my War Rig all the way to Zion for these, it was hard but MORE than worth it!

The war rig "Ethel" hauls another load of Car Wars supplements through the wasteland to The Compleat Strategist (ad in Autoduel Quarterly V1, N3, Steve Jackson Games, November 1983)
War Rigs: Fury Road vs Furiosa
One thing that struck me was how the war rig built in Furiosa was shinier, better-armored, and better equipped than the one we see in Fury Road.
I thought that was a very nice understated demonstration of how far the world still has to fall in this post-apocalyptic universe - where metal fabrication is increasingly becoming a lost art and the materials themselves are degrading in quality as the easy stuff to find disppears or wears out.

I’ve been rewatching a bunch of scene from Fury Road and Furiosa, grabbed these cool screenshots. Live action fight to the death looking like a smear frame.
Love the mural of Immortan Joe on Furiosa’s new (old) rig. Demonstrates how important it was to him to build up the idea of his own myth. We’ll be seeing a lot of vehicles that appear to be in much better condition than they were in Fury Road, in part due to it being earlier in the timeline; however, this will also be done as a way to show how Joe’s polity faced stagnation after he no longer had any enemies from without who could reasonably challenge him.
Cab of the War Rig/Interior of The Cranky Black from Furiosa: A Max Max Saga.
Screenshots taken respectively from Metal Beasts And Holy Motors: The War Rig & Metal Beasts And Holy Motors: The Cranky Black.
Bonus; a close up of the steering wheel of the War Rig. It has a grenade inside the skull, also from Metal Beasts and Holy Motors: The War Rig.
