It’s amazing, the places you see when you travel. Or the people you meet, really. 

Though we are still at El Centro, we passed through here a while back. Met a few people while passing through, and it was an ... interesting ... experience. 

From their ragged clothes to the general creepy vibe they were giving off, we high tailed it out of there pretty damn quick! 

Living on the road is different. It’s choosing, every day, to choose how to live your life. It’s waking up in the morning to a decision of where you will be tomorrow. It is an atlas, and a tiny tin filled with a single egg, because anything larger wouldn’t fit in the RV.

It is the realization that you have no expectations. nothing depending on you. You are alone, but you are surrounded by other people living that same life, hounded by those same problems. 

Harsh day today in southern California - we are just about 10 minutes from the Mexian border - but somehow we shall survive!

This place will be rocking soon, as the Blue Angels will be putting on quite the show. 20,000 people expected in this little military base - so we should enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts, before things get really crazy!
