I will always remember the day I met these boys, it changed my life forever. It was a time in my life where I didn’t even know what I was doing. I was eighteen, had just gotten my first car and wanted a sense of adventure, and that’s what they gave me.

The first time I heard Derek sing live, I knew this band was forever going to be one of my favorite bands, and that was before I had even held a conversation with any of the members of the band. Derek has this amazing, captivating stage presence that makes you just feel alive. He has always put his all into his performances and I love that about him. Just seeing this boy on stage can make me happy and I appreciate him more than he will ever know. He will always be one of my favorite dorks.

Aaron’s stage presence is honestly amazing, but it’s so much different from Derek’s. He goes so hard with his hair flying around, making all these concentrated faces. If you catch him when he’s not drumming, he will more likely than not be smiling. This dork managed to make his way into my heart in a matter of minutes and I adore him and the passion he has for the music.

When I actually got to meet the boys after that show, it all just felt right. I automatically just clicked with them. They have easily become my best friends and my favorite people, I don’t think I have ever appreciated someone as much as I appreciate the two of them. They are the reason I know my best friend, they some of few people who I would, and have, gotten lyrics in their writing tattooed on my body. I feel like I wouldn't know what to do with my life without them. They are the reason I went to Pennsylvania for the very first time, and fell in love. These boys are part of the reason I’m moving out to Pennsylvania, they introduced me to that state and I have never felt more at home than I do when I’m there.
