So, Riley Finn.
Funny story here.
I first watched BtVS only a couple of years ago, and it was around Season 4 that I realized how fannish I was getting to be about it. So I went looking for fic. Spoiler, shmoilers, I said. One of the first things I read was West of the Moon, East of the Sun by Knifeedge. I enjoyed it a lot, except for the part when (as it appeared to me) the author took an unexpected and disappointing turn into ott Riley-bashing - I mean, vamp-whores, seriously?
Yeah.
I guess what I’m saying is, I never had any strong feelings about Riley either way, but the way he left surprised me very much, and not in a good way. It’s not that I think Riley would never be capable of such a thing - I can imagine circumstances and a setup that would make his behavior plausible, but the show didn’t offer that.
