10. Their interactions with an enemy/rival

Before Scott was Scott, he put up with his fair share of bullying. Even when his family finally moved and he could reintroduce himself as Scott, please and thank you, there was always some dumbass kid who managed to find out his real name and spread it around. Scott took after his mother a lot more than his father in temperament, so he usually just ignored the bullies and tried to focus on his own work.

Mako, however, was a hot-headed little hellion. They were barely four weeks into their new semester on the Citadel when she hauled off and punched Scott’s main bully–an equally hot-headed little boy who was a menace to both Scott and the salarian kids that lived down the street. When Mom and Dad came to school to talk with the teacher, Mako was still grinning, even as she held a towel to her bloody nose.

When asked what she was thinking, Scott’s big sister just raised her chin defiantly and declared, “The only person who’s allowed to pick on Susu is me.”

11. Their interactions with a stranger (feel free to say who the stranger might be! wink wink)

Mako wasn’t sure if she was happy or uneasy to see another set of N7 armor on the Nexus. On the one hand, N7s were the best of the best in the Alliance–smart, brave, and a little on the crazy side. N7s were people you could trust to get the job done, no matter the cost. 

On the other hand, Alec had been N7, and look where that had led them. 

At least, Mako thought, this N7 didn’t really seem interested in taking the Pathfinder job from her. In fact, she didn’t even seem to question the change of title–didn’t seem to care, truly. Cora seemed to know who she was, even as Kandros introduced her as second in command of the militia, if the dirty look she kept giving the stranger meant anything.

“Pathfinder,” said Kira, turning to her suddenly. “I’ll be leaving the Nexus soon, now that you’re here. I’ll send you my private radio channel, that way if you ever need anything and I’m in the neighborhood, I can have your back. Until then,” she smiled, extending a hand for Mako to shake, “welcome to Andromeda.”

scott’s asleep for most of me:a so uh…yeah. i did both on the first one and then just mako because i’m still not entirely sure about scott’s personality orz

They’re biggest flaw? Do they recognize it as a flaw?

he is awful with energy weapons and close range, and he would know it but not admit it. He’s agile so he can get out of a fight but he just, cannot punch. personality wise stuff i think he wouldnt really see as flaws, would be him being blunt and emotional, but a little secretive about himself. He also doesn’t plan long term, lives more in the moment, of his own life anyway.

What are they most insecure about?

Don’t make fun of his height :(

What Wasteland threat do they fear the most? (ex. Deathclaws, super mutants, raiders)

centaurs!!! seriously who fucking wouldn’t. I also imagine he’s seen a wanamingo and hated it. just one though.

What’s their zodiac sign or which one do you think they relate to the most? 

I remember he’s a cancer and i think it fits pretty well. He’s born sometime in July… idk. i usually pick birthdays of famous artists to remember OC birthdays actually. July 6, is his new birthday if I’ve already said something else.

What are their placements (if you know them)? (ex. Aries sun, Taurus moon, Aquarius Venus)

I tried to do a calculator, but most wont calculate 200 years into the future… so I calculated based on if he were alive today but heres a chart… so Taurus moon?

What’s their Myers–Briggs Type? (ex. ENTP, ISFJ)

I tried to find it and i think ENFP-T? I’m not entirely sure how accurate that is but it sounds about right…

What Harry Potter house would they be in? (ex. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw)

tf? since when did cullen have character development? he doesn't say 'mages aren't people' out loud anymore & we're supposed to be impressed?

apparently. he still gets upset with you for not shackling the mages and never once apologizes for letting his fellow templars rape and beat mages in kirkwall (and presumably at kinloch hold too). he even says that meredith was mostly right at one point, doesn’t he?

ok okay so

once the attack on mindoir happens, sun gets taken to some unnamed alliance vessel (she’s only there for three days and she’s not really in any state of mind to pay attention to what its called or what its for) right?

it’s actually more like a space station, and papa ryder is one of the people helping figure out what the fuck to do with this traumatized 16 year old who killed 4 batarians and is the only known survivor of a slaver attack. sun spends most of her time in an extra bunk, counting to one hundred over and over between naps because she doesn’t want to think, doesn’t want to talk, no matter how many times anderson comes in to try and get her to react

sun doesn’t want to think about anything, because if she starts to think about things, she’s liable to start remembering things, and this has to be a nightmare. it HAS to be a nightmare

and papa ryder makes sure to tell his curious little 8 year olds to stay away from the new kid, because she’s dangerous, and little susu takes him at his word, like a good little soldier. 

but mako isn’t afraid. mako is too curious about the new girl to care about danger. (this is why she’s the main pathfinder tbh)

so mako sneaks in to sun’s room one night to get a closer look, and maybe to make a new friend. 

it takes a few minutes for sun to notice her, as zoned out as she was, but sun writes her off as another part of the dream, but a nicer part. a part she’s curious about.

“who are you?”

and mako introduces herself, excited that the new girl is talking--she’d overheard Papa say that she wasn’t talking to anyone.

the conversation they have isn’t really deep or riveting or memorable, but mako makes her smile a few times, and mako might be a little starstruck by the pretty girl with hair the color of the ocean, even if she does get run out a few minutes later by an angry guard. the damage is done, no matter how fussy her dad is that night.

and years later, when she’s preparing to leave behind the only home she’s ever known for good, she remembers commander shepard, and the frightened teenager she’d met when she was 8, and if that scared 16 year old could become Commander Shepard, the first human Spectre, Savior of the Citadel--then maybe Mako Ryder can be someone too

1: What’s something other characters will notice first about your character?

She smol. Especially if she’s out with Garrus or Wrex or Grunt or someone equally as massive. Like, on the one hand, it’s nice because she’s less likely to be sniped first, but on the other hand like…a girl can only take so many short jokes.

“Hey, Shepard, pretty sure Alliance regulations state that anyone under 5′5″ has to use a booster seat in the Mako.”

“Bite me, Vakarian. You might not want to pick on the person driving.”

“Or wha–SHEPARD, THAT’S A CLIFF!”

“A cliff is just another word for Extremely Fast Shortcut.”

2: What’s your character’s aesthetic (things associated with your character)?

The Milky Way, stretching across the night sky on a clear night. Cherry blossoms in spring. A golden dragon embroidered on red silk. Bloody knuckles wiping at a bloodied mouth. Old, broken dog tags hanging inside of a picture frame. A pillow case soaked with frustrated, angry tears. Bruises and scars on warm, tan skin. The sound of crashing waves against the seashore in the dead of night.

19: What words would your character use to define themself?

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been? pre-events of new vegas, the caravan he was on hit a sinkhole and they lost three out of four of their brahmin. it was his first circuit since taking over for his parents and he was terrified of how they’d handle it.

12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been? more recently, while he was inside the combat inhibitor field at Big Mt. it was a little freaky, if he’s being honest.
