Awhile ago I started making a bunch of Star Wars characters, so Iāll be sharing them with yāall over the next few days.
Ho'Din were tall aliens, renowned throughout the galaxy for their botanical and healing abilities. The Ho'Din people were tall, multi-color-skinned humanoids with long, suction cup-tipped fingers used for climbing trees and, on their heads, red-violet snake-like "hair" (fleshy tubes covered in scales) which acted as thermal sensors. They claimed to have evolved from plantsāin fact, "Ho'Din" translated as "walking flower" in Basic.
Things that caught my interest:
HoāDin evolved from plants. (Possibly why they have super weird hair?)
The Jedi Plett (of Plettās Well in CotJ) was a HoāDin.
Generally human in shape and features, HoāDin can be a convenient alien species to use when writing. Theyāre graceful, vain and plant-loving as a general rule, which is a nice starting template for a passing character, too.Ā
They were largely left alone by the Vong, which could be a useful plot point if you write Vong-era stuff. (e.g. HoāDin settlements might make a great place for Jedi to hide themselves or valuable artifacts.)
Wait. OMFG YOU'RE GERMAN TOO!?! JWJXJXJSJNDJXJX

OOC: Outbound Flight novel is the most similar Thrawn storywise
In SWR Season 3, most of how Thrawn behaved was in Outbound Flight. There were tidbits of The Trilogy especially in āZero Hourā with the commentary. But his intrinsic battle calculationsā¦Outboundā¦Especially Zero Hourās space battle. Some of that did come from Last Command and a Novella.
Anywho, when Bendu told Thrawn his future, Thrawn's weakness was revealed. IMO, his weakness is his profound loneliness he had for his people, the Chiss since he's been exiled. Cold embrace sounds like ārevenge, a dish best served coldā and Thrawn had āfriending problemsā - like he wanted friends but couldnāt make any because heās that geeky alien. Then in time, he made friends, but Imperial friends betray and he HATES the Rebels. But cold embrace and arms sounds like his friends would betray him. Just like Rukh did in the Legendās Thrawn Trilogy.
As far as Thrawn going crazy or insane. Not sure Lucasfilm will do an "Apocalypse Now" movie type episode. Although that ālaid wasteā Mando image is indicative of that. Wasting Mandos, again, is lameā¦theyāve done that already. As a Mando fan itās old. Can they just bring in the Vong or get to Snokeās story with Umbarans or fight ThyChani?
New stuff. The Vong would be fun because the Chiss are one of civilizations who fought them and survived. And the Chiss created AlphaRed that is a Vongicide.
Besides SWAG77 has been RPing Vong successfully for 8 years. Our stories are well known.
Thatās my personal meta.
