So I know a lot of the major hype involving that episode was about the introduction of the alternate realities, giving us an episode with our lovely Sven, but something I don’t see talked about all that much here is the other half of that episode revolving around mind control.

The Paladins and Allura (who just recently in that season took up the mantle for the Paladin of the Blue Lion) cross over into the alternate reality where Altea was never destroyed, but rather, it was the Galra Empire that fell. While the episode carried on with Allura being awed over a reality where her people didn’t die and the Galra Empire was defeated, it all came to a shocking halt when it was revealed that the Alteans were capturing people of other planets and placing them under mind control. 

All the Paladins took that as their cue to get the fuck out of dodge and took the item they had with them to close the reality, forcing the Alteans on the other side to never have access to expand their Empire.

Now, just in this past season, we caught further glimpses of Haggar controlling Shiro in a similar way that we saw in the season before how she was controlling Narti. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, and now I think that the point of the alternate reality episode was not for the main focal point to be the fact that alternate realities exist (unless there is a plan to bring that in later at some point, which seeing how it was mentioned twice afterwards, there may be a possibility other realities will come into play), but for the concept of mind control and how a race that had extreme control as an Empire, expanding technology and all, employed literal and physical mind control as a weapon. 

Whether the Shiro we have now is a clone, droid, or really just our Shiro with his self being repressed, there is no doubt that Haggar is mind controlling him. As soon as he was recovered later in season 3, we immediately started to see slight behavioral and social changes in him, and also take in note that Shiro comes back THE VERY NEXT EPISODE AFTER THE AR ONE.

The fact that we still haven’t seen this yet

Correct me if i’m wrong, but this didn’t happen in season 4.

This snap was leaked by Ezor’s voice actor before season 3. It was our first bit of proof that Matt was alive, conformation that Shiro was indeed coming back, and our first look at Matt’s new threads.

If Ezor’s voice actor snapped this, then it’s probably likely she’s recording for this fight. She’s probably a part of this fight. (It is POSSIBLE she wasn’t recording and was with someone who was, but highly unlikely)

(Again, correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t remember this happening in season 4)

Now, if this is a scene where Matt and Shiro fight Ezor, or at least are in a scene with her, what does that mean?

It means to anyone who was worried that the girls weren’t going to be important now that they aren’t working with Lotor, i think you can breath a sigh of relief.

They still have a part to play, and I bet it has something to do with whoever it is Acxa had in mind to go to.

I usually don’t make posts like this, but after seeing Keith’s Vlog I couldn’t help myself. After Keith is done being his angry little self over Lance’s cheer, he gets really deep. Deep in a way that I can understand.

Keith says, and I quote, “I don’t know why I’m that way. Maybe I’m naturally untrusting because my mom left me. And so, instead of accepting people into my life, I push them away before they can reject me. I guess I have some walls up.”

I never met my biological father, but my sibling’s biological dad was like a true father to me. He was the only Dad I knew, until things went wrong and we left. I was maybe 10 at the time of the split, and even though I wasn’t biologically his, I still did weekend visits with my siblings. This went on for about a year, maybe a year and a half, until one day my mom called me in from playing outside. 

She sat me on the couch and told me that he didn’t want me over anymore because I wasn’t his. I had no place in his life, and he wouldn’t even tell me himself. I still feel abandoned, like I was thrown out. Because of that I have major trust issues, and it takes so much longer for me to be able to trust someone than it would with any normal person. After that, anytime I let someone in they would leave me. Throw me out the same way he did. I was a useless piece of trash to them.

So I’ve been seeing all the stuff about Matt and yes, I swoon, but now I’m thinking about the rest of her family? We know Sam Holt is lost in space, but what about Colleen Holt? Like I’m really curious about her interaction with her mother.

First of all, Colleen must’ve known about Katie breaking into the Garrison to get information, since Katie was caught multiple times. Did Colleen scold Katie for doing it, wanting her just to accept her father and brother’s deaths? Or did she support her investigation and helped? We have no idea if Colleen even knows that Matt and Sam are lost in space, rather than dead. (If she does believe that Sam and Matt Holt are dead, this could’ve completely ruined the relationship the two had)

And second of all, did Colleen know that Katie changed her name and lied about her gender to enter the Garrison as Pidge Gunderson? We have seen no interaction between the family since Pidge was in the Garrison, so we don’t know what her relationship was like with her mother, and her mothers reaction. Was Colleen supportive? Was Colleen completely against it? Did she even know? Did Pidge just show up at one point, and Colleen just went “who the fuck” (or worse, “Matt?”)

If Colleen did know that Katie went to the Garrison as Pidge, for the sake of finding her father and brother, then she must have assumed that when she went missing, Pidge had found where Matt and Sam was, and was going to bring them home. Maybe she would’ve reassured Lance and Hunk’s families that their son is ok.

If she doesn’t know, then Colleen Holt has just lost her entire family.
