Random thing I want to talk about when it comes to Venom.

Everyone is is talking about Venom (Note im referencing the “venom symbiote” not eddie and the symbiote combine, its just for convenience sake) and Eddie’s relationship as being gay / sexual / etc. and I just wanted to talk about it.

I have no doubts that Venom LOVES Eddie, But I do not remotely believe its in a sexual way at all. Venom’s species is agender AND asexual and is often reference as they or it and have never reproduced sexually (though symbiotes have created hybrids before i dont believe that counts as an offspring).

What I believe Venom feelings for Eddie is solely on a way of a bond, an mentally and emotional commitment to one another. Eddie isnt just a host to Venom, he is not just a tool to his survival, Eddie is much much more.

Venom sees Eddie as his one and only host, the one and only PERSON he can be happy and safe with. He TRUST Eddie on a level that most symbiotes never get to experience. Because more symbiotes dont even bother caring for their hosts. Most literally dont even actively protect their hosts and merely use them as vessel and thats it. Venom however is an exception to this of course. He may have not always been this way but with Eddie he always has been protective of him.

Venom has had plenty of other hosts, some he could have easily stayed with because, like Eddie, they were “perfect” matches. But that was only biological, Venom doesnt just want something to be “perfect” in body, he wants someone who good and compatible in mind. He loves Eddie for WHO he is and not WHAT he is. Even when faced with a BETTER host than Eddie, Venom choose Ed.

Eddie was and is Venom true love, only host, only person. Venom doesnt need Eddie, he WANTS Eddie. He wants to be with him forever.

Thats their relationship, its not just a “big gay alien” Venom is an emotional involved being who see Eddie as more than just a body.

Im not gonna stop people from calling Venom gay since it basically just simplifying their relationship but dont just reference it as something solely sexual. Venom cant be sexual in his head. He can WANT to be intimate in a physical way but it merely a way to express his appreciation, trust and love for Eddie. Saying its sexual makes it sound like a basic biological need. And again Venom WANTS Eddie, he doesnt NEED him.
