One of the strings of her true form pulled back. An unexpected sensation.

They are not, after all, physical.

She was talking to one of her mortal guests when she felt a change begin to take place as the string pulled at her form, warping her nature.

The Void of Space.

The Void of Space.

She excused herself in a hurry, promising maybe slightly more help than she had intended to at a later time, but this is much more dire and pressing.

Next thing she noticed was her glow. She had not shined as a rainbow drinker in many lifetimes, her state of constant hunger provided by her former employer forcing her to learn to control that early on.

But this was different.

The realm was such an intrinsic part of her that she could navigate without eyesight, so she did not know when it happened, but after noticing blanks in her vision where foreign entities had left their marks on her realm, she realized she was blind on her left eye.

Loom's eye. Had something happened to Loom?

Panic. Don't panic. Worry. Deep breath. Ancient bodily reflexes. Fairy urges to dam away changes.

The room grew brighter. No, her eye glowed. Yes, she glowed brighter. No, her realm was blanketed in light.

Dim light from every direction. Light filling Space.

She took a moment, thinking back to Sgrub. And the first title she was knowingly given.

Her "natural" role of Sylph of Space, stirred as the game tried to rebalance something within her, even ages after her session had been over.

how small she had been then. What a small piece Sgrub took to try and define her into something immutable.

The Origin of Matter. Oddly fitting, now that she was a fairy. Her realm originated from her, and was an extension of her.

With Loom's aid, she had become its master. Void filling Space.

The emptiness of Space.

The Void of Space.

Void faded, swapped.

Light.

What could fill space better than Light.

Her corners could remain hidden, but Light filled so much.

A Lantern In The Dark.

She could not see out of her left eye. But there was a glow, almost impossible to bear, emanating from it.

Deep breath. Panic. Calm. Light fills Space more than Void. Void as an absence Light as a presence.

As such, she still blacked out. Since blacking out wasn't the same as sleeping, her dreamself wouldn't wake, causing her sleepwalk that she became known for. While she herself wasn't aware, such is actually how those from other timelines met her; transcending the (abstract) depths of the void, and entering and exiting dreambubbles.
