what’s up guys!! im still alive and drawin!!

been working on my original species familapii lately. i drafted up some designs based on famous paintings and a song and felt like redrawing the og 2.

vivaci and chargi got a face lift not too long ago and I’m really happy with ‘em :,)

(Vivian is actually my very first fantroll! She was made a long while ago and I’d love some help improving her ;w;)

I looove this character’s starting base a lot actually. So we’ll play around with her and Enhance this lovely gall. 

Planet: Alternia

Name: Vivian Lummox (There isn’t really a reason for it– I just think it sounds good)

It does sound cool, but Vivian’s a bit too familiar of a name, and a Lummox is a clumsy oaf, so I might tweak things just a little, but I’ll at least tryyy to preserve the feeling. 

For the first name, how about Vivaci? It’s pretty obviously from the etymological root of Vivacity, to be lively and animated, exactly what your character Doesn’t want to be. It reflects all the liveliness that she’s lost. 

For the surname, I can think of a few, but none that keep the same vibe. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Luctus? From Luctual, or Sorrowful, Mourning? 

Vivaci Luctus. I think that keeps the Energies of the original name pretty well!

Age: 7 Sweeps

Blood Color: Rust

Strife Specubus: Bladekind | She uses a small, simple dagger

She could have a blunt knife specifically, as a reference to Her particular bluntness as well as to the fact that the fight’s gone out of her, she’s not really trying to defend herself.

Fetch Modus: I don’t really know tbh-

If she’s interested in the Many Dumb Ways To Die, her modus could be like, a fear factor x type challenge where she has to complete some stupid shit before she can Get Her Item. Eat a beetle if you want this book.

Symbol and Meaning: It was basically just based off of the rust signs in general

Trolltag: walkingCorpse [WC]

Since trolltags tend to be Less Common Words, might I recommend ambulatoryCarcass instead? It basically means the same thing, but is Bigger.

Quirk: xX borders text with Xs. She came up with it when she was younger and never bothered to change it Xx

Special Abilities: Standard telekinetics, although weak due to the fact that she never practices them. Her ability to see and sense the dead is heightened than most, its like there’s always at least one looming over her shoulder

Now here’s where I want to bring in my idea. Persephoneanmystery has played around with zombie trolls on this blog before and Aradia in canon got to be a fun zombie, because reds are just... such good candidates for them. I probably won’t go the Same route as either of those characters, but still, the idea of her Almost dying during the drone raid and then the ghosts pulling her back to life- but irreversibly tangling themselves with her soul at the same time is an interesting thought. We know that when you’re zombie-ish, emotions get more muted, and so that’s fun for her. Well, not fun for her, but fun for her writing. 

Lusus: A large bear with a third eye on his forehead, called “Papabear”. With his third eye he has the ability to see the dead as well

Personality: Vivian is completely dead inside and wishes she was dead outside too. She lost her first moirail due to a drone raid she went into a state of total bleakness, blaming herself for it since it had happened at her hive. While she has found another moirail this demeanor hasn’t changed much. She’s very blunt and often doesn’t really care how others react to what she has to say. At this point she could care less about the threat of highbloods and treats them as she would any other troll, which isn’t too great to be fairly honest. When she’s around her moirail she tries to allow herself to be cheered up, but its difficult. Even still she makes an effort, and this tends to actually end up with her softening too much and breaking down. Its not so bad, as releasing all those pent up emotions does tend to make her feel better in the end. For the sake of her lusus and moirail she doesn’t avidly seek death, but she doesn’t exactly try too hard to avoid it either.

I want to help herrr. This is good. Definite emphasis on the survivor’s guilt is necessary here, especially with the addition I recommended- she should’ve died too, but she didn’t, and she hates that. Why didn’t her moirail live? Why did it have to be her!! Unfortunate. 

Interests: Ghosts, how much trolls can take before pushed to their limit, the many ways one can die

Might I also recommend: Lying on the floor. That’s a legitimate hobby when you’re depressed.

Title: Witch of Doom

I actually do like this quite a lot... She’s someone who’s kind of passively floating through life and accepting her fate at the moment. She needs to get back into herself, needs to be more active. She needs to realize that while she can’t change the past, she can change the future. And then she needs to get out there and do it, actively change the paths of destruction, change the structures, change the damage... And she’ll do that by passively understanding the importance of life.

Land: Land of Rainfall and Friction

Oooh, I like the name of this planet. I wish you’d given a little more context, because I really feel it. A land of torrential downpour where there’s large amounts of tension between various groups because of Laws, maybe? 

Dream Planet: Derse

This would theoretically make her Armini, the Reconciler, but I’ll be using your custom symbol, so I’m just showing you this for fun.

La tappa di VivAci di ieri (24/08/2016) è stata svolta sotto la pioggia del cielo e sotto una tempesta di critiche. Tanti nei social si sono indignati per il fatto che l’organizzazione non ha stoppato l’evento malgrado la disgrazia ancora in corso del terremoto nel reatino. L’indignazione e la pioggia sono stati, quindi, i protagonisti della tappa al Portico della manifestazione che vivacizza i mercoledì acesi.

Mentre cresceva l’onda è poi arrivato il comunicato del presidente Gianluca Mangiagli che ha annunciato che la tappa non sarebbe stata rinviata. “Motivi organizzativi non ci permettono di rimandare la serata di stasera, un meccanismo molto complesso è fatto di tante figure che sarebbe difficile in poche ore spostare ad altra data visto il periodo estivo pieno di serate ovunque”. Sempre il presidente di vivaci annuncia anche una raccolta fondi per i terremotati e un minuto di silenzio da rispettare prima dell’inizio dell’evento. E continuano le polemiche per una manifestazione, come tante altre in Italia, che avrebbe dovuto rispettare il silenzio non per un minuto ma per tutta la serata e rinviare la manifestazione.

E’ un’indignazione trasversale e diffusa ed è un segno di sensibilità per i connazionali morti nel terremoto e per quelli che ancora giacciono sotto le macerie. Una solidarietà importante che fa, però, a pugni con ondate di cinismo e per i silenzi manifestati per i tanti morti in mare, dentro i barconi, per le vittime di Aleppo, per i bambini bombardati, le donne stuprate, i genocidi e il sangue che scorre a fiumi in ogni angolo della terra e fin dietro casa nostra.

Provando ad analizzare la vicenda con un minimo di serenità ci si rende conto che, ormai da tempo, non c’è più spazio per ballare ma rimane solo il sentimento orribile dell’impotenza davanti ai mali del mondo. E se il terremoto rimane un evento naturale, le guerre e i crimini sono sotto il dominio delle scelte pensate, volute, organizzate e gestite dal potere. Solidarietà per i terremotati, solidarietà e indignazione umana per i morti innocenti delle guerre feroci, solidarietà per le vittime del terrorismo, solidarietà per chi muore dentro una carretta del mare.

 Oggi più che mai in seguito ai disservizi verificati in occasione della tappa Jolly svoltasi in data 17 Agosto nella Piazza Di Santa Maria la Scala, sentiamo assolutamente l’esigenza di chiarire alcuni passaggi non solo legati all’evento ma a tutta la struttura Vivaci.

Una premessa è assolutamente doverosa, Vivaci è un iniziativa assolutamente privata, patrocinata dalla Città di Acireale, nessun contributo è mai stato erogato a favore di tale manifestazione semmai e di questo siamo grati, abbiamo richiesto dei servizi essenziali per lo svolgimento delle varie attività, soprattutto quando queste sono state svolte in Piazze pubbliche.

Non abbiamo mai imposto consumazioni obbligatorie o pagamenti d’ingresso ai nostri eventi e nonostante le grandi difficoltà di carattere economico riscontrate soprattutto nelle serate di Piazza dove nel 80% dei casi il risultato finale è stato anti economico per la nostra organizzazione, abbiamo continuato senza fermarci. Vivaci oltre a rappresentare per la Città di Acireale un momento importante del divertimento e della movida Acese, rappresenta un momento d’incontro ed una risorsa economica per tutte quelle attività che hanno la fortuna di trovarsi vicino alle varie tappe del nostro tour e che hanno avuto degli introiti grazie al nostro evento, questo per noi vuol dire essere una risorsa per il territorio.

Vivaci vive dei locali che lo compongono e di qualche sponsor che ci sostiene, per tali ragioni e per noi doveroso chiarire una volta per tutte questi aspetti. Rispetto alla serata di ieri e ai disservizi legati al servizio navetta GRATUITO da e per Santa Maria La Scala, sarebbe facile scaricare responsabilità a destra e a sinistra ma per noi non ha senso, se si vince, vince il popolo di Vivaci se si perde ogni tanto è lo stesso, in ogni caso quello che ci preme di più oggi è scusarci umilmente con tutto il popolo del ghiacciolo. Vi chiediamo Scusa a voce ALTA, con la tristezza di chi ieri non si è divertito vedendo tante persone rimanere in Piazza Indirizzo ma soprattutto in Piazza a Santa Maria La Scala.

Anche questo ci serve a crescere per cercare di fare sempre meglio in occasioni future. Vivaci rappresenta per questa città a nostro parere un momento di rinascita che negli anni ha portato all’apertura di tantissime attività serali che nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi sono gestite da giovani come noi.

Ci rivediamo mercoledì al Portico Cafè per un altro grande evento.
