Been thinking about sex and abstinence... I'm 20 and I've never had sex, or a boyfriend, or a kiss. I'm not against having a boyfriend or kissing, but I'm also not chasing after them. I'm choosing to refrain from seeking those things out. It makes the choice to not have sex less of a choice and more of a thing that is. And that's okay. It's okay to not have a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's okay not to kiss. It's okay not to have sex. That's a valid choice. We're allowed to make that choice and to not be ashamed of it. #EndVirignShaming Seriously, it is way too common to make fun of people who haven't dated/kissed/had sex by a certain age. I've seen TV shows laugh at 16 year olds who haven't had a boy/girlfriend yet. Teenagers, it's okay. Your time will come. High school is already crazy, you don't need to add relationship drama to your life unless you really want that relationship. My friends who dated in high school, none of them are still with that person and it's hurt them a lot to lose the friendship they had with their boyfriends. So, choose wisely and don't let society pressure you into a situation you don't want. If you don't want a relationship because of the person, but instead because of what you think a dating relationship is; then you probably aren't ready.
