Gave my boy some color and some design notes. We now have a face to the name!

The smoke blows from his lips in a quiet puff, billowing out into the cool open air. He looks down solemnly, his eyes heavy and burdened. He doesn’t look up at the boy standing beside him.

“People like us aren’t built for this kind of thing,” he continues, looking out into the city below. The lights of the buildings catch his eye, a faint glimmer dancing along his iris. “We’ve seen too much to settle into a normal life. Most people can’t handle that.”

The boy beside him watches as he takes another drag. He watches as the embers of his cigarette flicker in the wind. He looks away, then back again.

“Well,” he laughs, quiet and tentative. “I’m not most people, am I?”

The man smiles softly. He shakes his head, a quiet surrender.

As much as I love this project, it takes up a lot of time and effort, and with how bad the economy is where I'm at, I can't find any work outside of freelance.
