The smoke blows from his lips in a quiet puff, billowing out into the cool open air. He looks down solemnly, his eyes heavy and burdened. He doesn’t look up at the boy standing beside him.
“People like us aren’t built for this kind of thing,” he continues, looking out into the city below. The lights of the buildings catch his eye, a faint glimmer dancing along his iris. “We’ve seen too much to settle into a normal life. Most people can’t handle that.”
The boy beside him watches as he takes another drag. He watches as the embers of his cigarette flicker in the wind. He looks away, then back again.
“Well,” he laughs, quiet and tentative. “I’m not most people, am I?”
The man smiles softly. He shakes his head, a quiet surrender.

Hello everyone, my name is GraveKandy, welcome to my blog!
This blog is mostly centered around the creation of my novel, but it's also where I post any of my creative works!! I'll post art, youtube videos, artfight stuff, and links to new chapters.
But first off, what is my novel? What is VIRA?
In short, VIRA is an in-the-works novel/graphic novel that I've been working on for the last five years. It's a sci-fi noir-romance turned thriller that takes place in the fictional space colony known as VIRA City, set in the late 2500s
VIRA City is built into a small cluster of asteroids nestled in the outer layer of Saturn's rings. It's comprised of six districts, and is governed by the corporate entity known as VIRA Incorporated.
This blog is where I will post anything and everything related to the VIRAverse! From installments, to art, to asks and fanart! I might also post music on here from time to time, but we will see.
Before I go any further, let me make this clear.
