speaking of butterflyg8 in this scene, can’t help but notice that, while El was represented by a non-existent butterfly, Mike was attached to the vine/lab tubes* here. it’s actually quite interesting to catch the way the characters are placed in the Byers house after it fully gets covered with drawings (cough drawinggate implying that everything drawn gets real or vice versa is in town)
