I've decided to deal with my mental bullshit by responding to every evil thought like I'm a middle aged soccer mom dealing with her toddlers.
"I'm gonna bash my head against a wall!!" (Don't do that, that's bad young lady, I'll take away your tablet)
"I don't wanna eat vegetables!!! Yucky!!!" (What about if I put cheese on them and give you a lollipop after)
"im gonna hit her because I'm mad!" (We don't hit. Why are you mad? Did she do anything wrong? Talk to her about it, and if she keeps being mean, tell an adult okay?)
"I'm gonna yell the meanest word I know in the middke of this grocery store!" (Why?) "I stubbed my toe." (What word) "Son of a butt" (I'll allow it)

i love my story and my characters and I really want to publish but the problem is. I wrote it for me. which means I used tropes people rarely like, in a writing style I’ve seen a lot of people hate on, with characters that aren’t particularly lovable, and in a really odd interpretation of the genres that it technically falls into. not to mention im young and not very skilled. so now , at the point where I am over halfway done editing book 1, im second guessing myself and whether i should even try atp 💀
