I traveled to Mexico in the early 80's to do portraits for the people. I used large formate 8x10 and 4x5 film so I could contact print on printing out paper. I would tone them in selenium which was much cheaper than gold chloride. Joe (I think that was his name, correct me if I’m wrong) could often be found on this bench, just sitting, saying hello to people. He didn’t seem to work, his father left him a six family house. His life seemed very simple. Never saw him with anyone except neighbors and friends from the park.
