got myself thinking about it last night so. some dema-isms and idioms. i highly encourage y'all to add on, these are very fun to come up with
are you seized right now? - used for wildly out of character/strange behavior, basically means "what the HELL are you doing?"
knocking on neon gravestones - asking for trouble/a variation on "knocking on the devil's door"
were you raised in trench? - commenting on bad manners/a variation on "were you raised by wolves/in a barn?"
they're not dead yet - used for people who have (usually suddenly) thrown themselves full force into vialism. somewhat derogatory, it's sort of a way to call someone performative and imply that the motivations for their sudden faith are less than pure
is the city walled? - a response for when someone asks a very obvious question
go scale the walls - "go to hell"/"fuck off"
you're not wearing any yellow - a response when someone is being critical of dema/the bishops/vialism, a sort of "watch your tongue". largely exclusive to people already on the outskirts of rebellion, and failed/former escapees
preaching to neon gravestones - "preaching to the choir"
hiding an fpe badge - an insult, used to imply a lack of shame
