#vegan rant

The fact I have to feel like a burden for wanting to find somewhere that has options without dead bodies and other animal parts are. The fact they’d all rather sit in the first place that is open but they can’t because there’s nothing on. When they don’t say anything to my face and they just sigh and groan.

Also, when you go somewhere and you ask about vegan options and the servers face fully changes (it’s happened several times). Like why are you getting pissy? When I’m asking if any of it is vegan? I’m literally asking so I can give you money. It genuinely puts me off. Imagine being that arsey that someone isn’t a heartless bastard like you are.

It also doesn’t help my family lives in the countryside. The amount of times when it’s mentioned I’m vegan… and I’m the weird one. Like trust me. There’s a lot more things about me that make me weird and it’s not cos I’m a vegan. But also they’re all hunters round there so I’m not surprised. They clearly think it’s alright to change and hunt innocent and terrified animals for fun. So of course murdering them, eating their flesh and exploiting other animals for their own gain is perfectly fine

I own a cat who is under my care until he passes. I will ensure as he is a care dependent that I am maintaining his welfare and health by feeding him a meat diet even if I personally am vegan. He can not change his diet and I have owned him for over a decade so he will not be punished for my changes in life. After he is gone, I will likely rescue more rabbits (I have had 3 so far) as they fit my lifestyle and beliefs much more. But I will NOT enforce suffering on my cat just because his existence conflicts with my personal diet. I just won't own another cat after he is gone.

How the fuck is human life more important morally? How?

Fucking selfish, speciesist morons.

Why do people take so much offense to vegan peoples life choices. They act like we shit on their car instead of choosing to not buy leather or pork. I understand being pissed if a vegan person tries to shame you for doing your best but I don’t understand the giant tirades I see online or the doing things just to piss vegans off.

A lot of times they act like we can’t eat anything but greens when no, we can and often do eat just as badly as non vegans. You’d be surprised how much food you eat that’s actually vegan purely by coincidence. I get that eating only plants is a new concept for the world especially after the meat, egg, and diary industry fucking skyrocketed within the last century but I don’t understand the fucking hostility.
