Grief was something that Blair wasn't something she was used to dealing with. She'd never lost anyone. The closest she'd come was her father coming out of the closet and moving to France. She didn't like this feeling of emptiness and rage and having no where to put them. And then Dan handed her the license to let out all the rage. Who did Daniel Salvatore think he was stealing something that belonged rightfully to the Waldorf family. In fact, it was something that could have possibly saved Aaron. If it weren't for him, her cousin could possibly still be alive.
Waiting until Dan and Jenny were both out of the house was not anything easy. In fact, she actually had to con the two of them to get out of the house. Jenny was a bit harder to get to leave. She didn't want to waste a drop of vervain on someone that wasn't her target. Her smirk widened when the door opened to reveal the eldest Salvatore. The bits of Octavius' magic that still pulsed through her amulet started to spider into her veins. "Hello, Mr. Salvatore."
Within a matter of moments she'd concentrated on his mind forcing several blood vessels in his mind to explode at once. Once he was distracted, Blair pounced and injected the potent dose of vervain (thank you, Captain) into his neck. Once he was down, Blair knew she had to move quickly. Blair pulled out another needle and injected it into his neck, just for extra protection.
She drove quickly and dragged him down into her basement. His eyes started to flutter open. "Not yet, Daniel," she whispered, injecting a three needle into his neck. God, she knew he was old, but he shouldn't have been this difficult to keep down. The witch moved faster to get him down the rest of the way and prop him up in a chair. Just to be safe, Blair bound his hands behind him with the vervain soaked ropes she'd been working on for the last couple of days.
Then it was time to set up everything else. With the circle of dirt and stones already set, Blair started to light the candles when she heard someone stir. Standing up, Blair smirked at Daniel. "I'm almost impressed. You're a hard one to keep down." Blair wasn't sure of the time that had passed, but she knew it'd been a while. Guess it was harder to keep down a 700 year old vampire than she thought. But killing one? Well, that was going to be easy.
