San Francisco. [forces another smile, his lips tight as he listens to her] Dan? Yeah, that’s a great name for him. [looks away for a moment, shaking his head] You feeling okay today, S?

Hasn't she been back from San Francisco for a while? [rolls her eyes] Dan, I was joking. What's wrong with you? [shrugs and sighs] I don't know. I was mean, I apologize. Are you okay? You seen kind of... off. 

Good Times | Nate & Serena

[he stood there and listened to her rant, looking off to the side the whole while] Well, I’m still here obviously. [he rolled his eyes, not in the mood] What would we possibly be having secret meetings about? I’ve barely spoken to them either, if it makes you feel any better. 

[sighs and shakes her head] Obviously. [narrows her eyes] First of all, that was a joke. And secondly, you shouldn't get mad because I got upset. You all disappeared, and with all the deaths and animal attacks, what was I supposed to think? Am I supposed to not worry? [rolls her eyes] Maybe I shouldn't care. No one else cares, why should I?

Jenny’s back and it’s still been an adjustment. Yeah, I noticed. [smiles some, looking back to the dog and wincing slightly at the comments] Ouch. [laughs it off, clutching at his chest playfully] Way to wound me.

Jenny's back from where? [rolls her eyes] Yeah right. You know I didn't mean it. Much. [smiles] I think I'm going to name my dog Dan. It's a fitting name, don't you think? [tires hard not to laugh, but fails miserably]

The road to hell is paved with good intentions || Caroline&Serena

"I just don’t really feel like… I don’t know," she said with a shrug. Caroline wasn’t looking for pity, and she certainly didn’t want anyone thinking less of her because she didn’t want to face her problems right now. She was allowed a little bit of a break, right? That didn’t make her weak. Caroline sat up a little just to prove that she was fine, reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ear. "A little," she admitted, not really wanting to hurt this girl’s feelings but not wanting to be given a lecture on her life either. "I’ve looked through everything I could find," she told her. "I don’t know how this is supposed to work, but nothing is coming back to me. And hearing about how I used to be isn’t going to make me any different now. I just don’t see the point, you know?" 

Listens and nods, kind of understanding what she meant. "You don't want to be around a lot of people who're all trying to make you remember?"  Serena couldn't help but smile when Caroline told her she didn't want to hear about how she used to be. "I completely understand. I think the only thing you should worry about is trying to learn the names of people you used to know." Serena stopped talking, trying to figure out how to say what she wanted to express. She usually would have just come out and said it, but she didnt want to upset the other girl after everything she'd been through. She sighed when she couldn't come up with a nicer way of putting it. "You know, maybe you shouldn't try to remember so much. It could come back to you eventually, or maybe not. But the past is the past, Caroline. You can start fresh! Just be who you want to be, or act how you want to act without worrying about what people are going to think." Serena was kind of excited about the prospect and even wished she had a chance to start over. "Don't worry so much about who you used to be, maybe worry about who you want to be, you know?" 

[not planning on staying long, nate ordered something to go. once it was handed to him, he turned around and started heading out before hearing a voice.] Hmm? [he spotted Serena, giving her an awkward smile] Serena, hey. I guess that it’s been a while, hasn’t it? [he bites his lip]

[raises her eyebrows and shakes her head] A while? I'd say. I hardly recognized you. I was starting to think you had moved or something. But then again, it would have been weird for you, Blair and Dan to all move away at the same time. What? Were you guys having secret meetings or something? You can tell me. [rolls her eyes at her lame joke] At least you're alive, right?

[smiles] How are you? [shrugs and picks up her dog] Really? Because I havent seen you in forever! I’ve been doing stuff, trying to figure out where you all disappeared to. Yeah, I just needed some company so I got a new dog. But now I dont know what to name him, any suggestions? 

I’m alright. Just trying to keep up. [smiles again] I know, I know. I think we all just got really busy. I haven’t seen Nate or Vanessa in forever either. [snorts some and looks back to the dog] So you thought you’d replace us with a dog? Hmm. I suck with naming pets. This is more Jenny’s area.

Keep up with what? You've all disappeared. Even Nate is MIA. [rolls her eyes and laughs] Uh, yeah. I mean, a dog won't ever leave me. And a dog will always answer when I call and love me no matter what. Friends can be fickle. Yeah, I figured as much. You were never all that creative... [laughs and shakes her head] That was mean, I'm sorry.

[takes a step back before smiling at her] Hey Serena. [glances at the dog and raises an eyebrow at her before shaking his head] Oh, you know, just around. How about you? Everything alright?
