anna marie was used to being around big groups of people , at least other mutants , but joining a new superhero team has her feeling all sorts of uneasy . avengers hq was completely different to xavier's mansion , she's already lost after wandering the corridors for so long . so she's grateful when she turns the corner and is greeted by a fairly familiar face .

"Please be careful," Mantis pleaded. "We have no idea what threats are out there."

“Ignore the fact that I’m dressed like I live under a bridge," Darcy sighed, exasperated. "It's been a long week."

Loki didn't realize his hand was on his head until he caught the other looking. "I'm fine. Headache." he dropped it, nodding to the case in front of them. "Because apparently everyone collectively decided to be idiots this week."

"I mean, it doesn't look....that bad." Jane made a face and draped her stethoscope around her neck. "What did you say happened again?"

"If you're coming in here, be quiet about it. Because I'm definitely not hiding from a mandatory meeting."

"Okay, I just sat through all the welcome meetings and bullshitted my way through an absolutely ridiculous amount of paperwork --" Carol turned her head sharply to the person beside her. "So I have just one very important question. Where is the nearest source of good ol' earthy alcohol?" She beamed, arms spread wide. "Can't find it anywhere else in the galaxy, after all."

"I think I'm going to find a quiet corner to escape to for a bit. Care to join me?"
