Pros:

- female character who drives the plot and it’s the heart and center of the story - She is allowed to cry and explore her emotions, traumas and weakness and the narrative never shows her less than incredible and strong for it - Bisexual, gay, pansexual and transsexual characters are explored and unapologetic about their awesomeness - Iconic creatures and personalities from literature like werewolves, vampires, Frankenstein and his monsters, Dr Jekyll, Dorian Gray, Mina, Dracula, Egyptian gods like Amunet, witches, demons, Lucifer and references to their contemporary Jack the Ripper - Archaeology, possession, exorcism, wild old west gunfights, satan, misandry, feminism, old school horror, sensuality, cute squishy characters, all the ships, blood, sex bathed in blood, lesbians, iconic quotes you’ll never forget, fancy balls, orgies, gorgeous people, gross men getting gruesomely murdered, mystery, trash puzzles, museums, blasphemy, murder, angst, tragedy, loss, the power of friendship and finding family in places and situations you never imagined - Amazing subtext and allegories applied to all kinds of political, ethical and religious discussions - Superb acting and cinematography - Dialogues that are basically poetry - Ghotic London, Ghotic dresses, Ghotic horror - Basically witch hunts with tea parties with the devil in between - Incredible and heartbreaking insight over institutionalization of women with mental illness in the past - Indian-English character who is basically a genius and makes puppy eyes to his stupid bff - you'll watch bottle episodes with only 4 walls and Vanessa Ives in them and love every second of it - Seriously, misandry. There’s literally a group of sex workers and women abused by men having classes together about how to slit their throats properly. It’s magical so far. - the protagonist, a woman hunted by the devil, have at the moment her most precious alliances in two other women: a female psychiatrist who is very sensitive, smart, protective and competent who murdered her own husband because he was an abusive piece of shit and endured trial for it. And a young lady who doesn't give a shit about social conventions and prefers trousers instead of dresses, extremely talented with swords and is a historian and thanatologist, fascinated by death and its rituals and together they’ll defeat monsters

Talk about it, tweet about it, definitely watch it when it's playing on Showtime. John Logan, the writer, says he has many more ideas for storylines, and I personally would love to see this series taken as far as is possible.

Which it won't be, if it's cancelled.

Here's the thing; a lot of people watched the first two episodes on the Showtime website for free; adding to the people who watched the first episode when it officially aired, that clocks up to over two million viewers, which is brilliant. But, in order to show those in charge of the metaphorical big red button, we've got to show the executives just how popular the show is, how much we love it, and how much we'd absolutely love for it to come back for another season.

This might just be overreacting, but I'd prefer not to take any chances with this show that I've come to adore. Soon an official tumblr/twitter campaign will be posted, but for now just remember:
