Dracula stopped at the end of Sookie's driveaway. Hearing her call after was like hearing a selkie's song, it was impossible not to freeze, listen, and be lured. His shoulders dropped, and he turned on his heel. In complete silence, he walked to the woman, and stepped up the two steps to meet her on her porch where his hands enveloped her small, slim face. "Sookie Stackhouse. You have taught me a great many things in this new world of yours. And while I understand that there is no need for vampires to move on anymore, flit from town to town, for fear humans notice we don't age, it is not natural for a vampire to stay still." he offered the woman the warmest of smiles he could muster. He was fascinated by her, yes, but the idea of staying in such a small town with barely an ounce of flavour or depth within it, wasn't who Dracula was. He enjoyed grandeur. Not small town pot lucks.
