ok, to start, i do like varchie, particularly because it was the technically the slowest burn on the show. which. i’m a sucker for, obviously.

but i also thought s2 kind of....i mean, s2 was a mess, and it nearly ruined every character and every ship for me, but it did make me a bit indifferent to varchie because i thought like.....yikes? that relationship really enabled some seriously flawed behavior in both of them. 

(but again---i feel this way about literally every aspect of canon, lmao. i no longer acknowledge canon.) 

so anyway. to your question. this isn’t a crack ship, but i maintain that val x archie was actually a lot healthier. they were together for a blip, really, but she called him on his shit, forced him to confront his fears, pushed him towards his goals, and in a no nonsense but supportive way! honestly like...........i’m stuck on it!

and then sweet pea x veronica is a crackship, and i did try to hold off on the hype but like.........i do genuinely really like it in theory? i mean, sweet pea is kind of a blank slate rn, personality wise, but in terms of what he represents i feel like he could be a really interesting match for v!
