Let’s continue those makeup tips shall we?💋 ✨5. Be absolutely sure your foundation matches your skin tone. Too often we choose a foundation we believe matches, but is a shade too dark or light. The best place to test out foundation to see if it matches is your neck or chest. ✨6. Be a little extra 💁🏼‍♀️ Flash photography can take up to 20% of the color and intensity of your makeup, so create the look you want and dial it up ever so slightly. Some of my favorite things to go extra on are: •Blush - natural shades will make you look younger and full of life •Mascara or false lashes - they will highlight your eyes •Brows - don’t be afraid to fill them in! It will add color and structure ✨7. Don’t forget to highlight and contour. I know it can be a little intimidating, but this is why we should always practice the look we want a few times before the day of the shoot. Your face is three dimensional and by applying one foundation shade and nothing else, you are actually making your face appear more dull & round. ✨8. Lips without 💄 is like cake without frosting. Here’s a few tips: •Do use 2-3 shades darker than your natural lip shade •apply lip balm to decrease the appearance of cracking •Avoid nude colors - remember that 20% of color taken from flash? Nude colors will make you look lifeless •Avoid any ultra matte finishes as these will absorb light and make your lips look flat & dry. ✨9. And finally, don’t forget to set your makeup. Makeup tends to smudge, fall or flake even within an hour of application.
