good afternoon everyone ! first and foremost, we want to give a warm thank you to everyone who has been a part of underworldfm thus far ! we have officially been open for two months and counting now ! while we still have a number of awesome open skeletons still available ( click on the source link to view them ! ) and waiting for applications, we are excited to announce that we will now allow members to apply for OC'S AS A SECOND CHARACTER ! after two weeks of activity, members can apply for their oc & acceptances will be held on a rolling basis with a five day wait just like we hold acceptances now.
we allow multi-muse blogs as long as posts are tagged correctly, as well ! the only rule for our second characters is that if your first character is white that your second character is a muse of color ! our application has officially been adjusted to reflect what changes need to be made to it when applying for an oc ! fc's for second characters will be on a first come, first serve basis. meaning, if we have two applications with the same fc when it comes to original character applications, we will consider the first application will be able to take the fc that is applied for. we will also take face claim reservations for oc's, meaning if we receive a reservatino, we will only accept an application for our app count with that fc based on the reservation. if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask ! thank you again for being here !

With another round of acceptances complete, we at UNDERWORLDFM are thrilled to announce that we will officially be going multi-muse to celebrate almost four months of being open! We will now allow members to have up to SIX muses. Members are free to apply for characters with one week of activity in between each one. For example, if you have just applied & been accepted for one of our available skeleton roles, you will have to wait one week before applying for your SECOND character. Then, another week must pass after the second character is accepted before the mun may apple for a third, then another week for the fourth … et cetera, et cetera. To maintain diversity , we want to stress that for every white character, we ask that everyone applies for a character of color or trans character! In addition, the seven day activity rule will apply to each individual character, meaning that if a character does not post within 6 days, they will be given a 24 hour warning before being dropped from the role-play.
We will also be allowing our muns to use MUMU BLOGS if they so wish. All we ask is that the tagging system is easy to navigate for each character. UNDERWORLD FM PRESENTS EVENT 001: FOURTH OF JULY EXTRAVAGANZA.
BLISTERING HEAT & THICK HUMIDITY often plague the fine streets of New York City during the height of summer, leaving every borough’s residents seeking refuge in air-conditioned spaces while tourist season begins to reach its peak. The streets remain packed in spite of the soaring temperatures -- and with the patriotic holiday of July 4th just around the corner, the City that Never Sleeps has opted to provide its population of 8.4 million with a five-day long celebration. Founded entirely by the local government, Central Park will be hosting a plethora of events leading up to the grand finale on Saturday, July 4th. Facebook pages dedicated to the event have begun popping up left and right alongside promoted Instagram ads & targeted Snapchat notifications. With so much fanfare decked out in all shades of red, white, and blue, it seems as if every borough will be flocking to the city to celebrate the U-S-of-A.
While the mortals rejoice & revel in the prospect of free food and drink, the supernatural world lurks with enhanced worry. The event itself is scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 1st until 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 5th. The proximity of Central Park to the safe-house for Aleksander’s coven poses a risk for the inevitable throng of mortals littering the streets. Large crowds are often a recipe for disaster -- and while Aleksander, himself, is unwilling to strike a firm hand to prevent his children of the night from indulging themselves amongst their human counterparts during such flagrant celebration, there lingers a hesitance within the undead king. He decrees that all vampires who wish to socialize amongst the humans are meant to exercise the utmost self-control. While no concrete punishment has been stated, the lingering threat of his wrath hangs overhead.
And to make matters worse for Aleksander’s affairs, the full moon is intended to show itself on the last evening of the celebration. July 5th is meant to bring about the moon which calls so loudly to the creatures the vampires have been meant to subjugate and the gravity of this matter isn’t lost on him. The Liberation, after all, is a scattered affair. Lycans will surely be in attendance throughout the week -- if not to simply to socialize, but to keep a close eye upon the coven and its inner workings. Central Park is an integral vantage point and with the strength of the full moon so close, the lycans are given an uncanny upper-hand this time around. Younger lycans and pups are sure to experience an involuntary change on Sunday evening -- and both sides of the underworld battle are poised to leap into action under the eye of those who are blind to the darkness lurking so close by.

Hello everyone! We are very excited to announce our FIRST EVENT at UNDERWORLDFM! Our event will begin on 12 AM EST Wednesday, July 1st and will last all the way up until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, July 5th. We ask that all current threads be put on hold and saved in the drafts throughout our event! This is an event that will take place on the dash, so please feel free to post starters using our starter tag #uwfmstarter as well as our event tag #uwfmevent:001 ! to make matters easier, please find the itinerary for the celebration below:
Wednesday July 1st: Barbecue begins in Central Park at 6 PM and will last until 3 AM. There will be various barbecue vendors from local restaurants available and all options will be available. There will be a biergarten open for all adults over the age of 21.
Thursday July 2nd: An open-air market will be available from 6 PM through 2 AM; all vendors are local creators and businesses from the city itself. There will be an outdoor concert throughout the evening with local talents performing. Starting at midnight, the stage will be open for attendees to perform and play karaoke.
Friday July 3rd: The city is hosting free classes throughout the park, including Paint Nite under the stars, Zumba classes, Pottery classes, and more. All of them are open to the public. There will be free food and ice cream available, as well. At the end of the night, there will be a screening of a popular movie on a large screen at the center of Central Park.
Saturday July 4th: At sundown, the fireworks show begins. It will begin with a concert from a few up and coming artists. There will be vendors for food available as well as merchandise up for purchase. All proceeds will go to Public Works projects. At 10 PM, the fireworks show begins. Once the show concludes, there will be an open-air block party throughout the park.
Sunday July 5th: With the full moon directly after the Fourth of July, the celebration continues with one more barbecue and open-air market; with a biergarten available and numerous local businesses congregating, the event is meant to bolster the community after a celebration. The five-day-long festival comes to an end with a few raffles at midnight.

THE BRILLIANT FANFARE that had only recently swallowed up the majority of Manhattan has finally begun to dull down into a steady hum ; streamers of glistening silver tied with blue hues and streaks of red are taken down, causing Central Park to return to its natural state of standing as a pillar for tourists and natives alike. The Big Apple, in all its glory, seems to have finally settled back into its normal pace. All is well, but as the week following the extravaganza begins to progress, a discovery heavy enough to upheave the entirety of the city is made. It is during the bustling twilight hours that a young woman is out for a jog through the many winding sidewalks snaking through the heart of Manhattan. The small enclaves carved throughout the concrete jungle dotted with shrubbery and carefully-landscaped plants are the only sources of ambient greenery available amongst the flashing city lights -- but a proper jogger knows all the proper spots. Manhattan is, for the first time, left behind as she takes to Queens. The outer borough is tucked neatly along the tail-end of Long Island, towering skyscrapers replaced by sleepy, suburban homes & fringes of trees. It’s comforting -- but as her route begins to come to a close & her watch beeps to demarcate her fifth complete mile, her gaze catches upon something that makes her stomach turn.
Thin, black plastic wraps tightly around a limp form, contorted and twisted in unnatural angles -- and the closer the jogger comes, the more the unsettling reality begins to sink in. The blare of sirens pair with flashes of bright blue and red, NYPD cars gathering in droves to quarantine off the particular block holding the discovery. The sun has finally begun to sink beneath the horizon, burnt orange hues streaking against a thick coat of indigo like rivulets of blood. What they discover within the plastic confines is the body of a young man -- or, at the very least, what little remained of him. His body is torn from the chest cavity down, disemboweled with a majority of his organs missing. Broken & splintered bone tear through torn skin -- but most startling of all? Burns that gave way to ash seem to litter what little parts of his body remained intact.
Dental records were pulled -- but the presence of razor-sharp teeth off-set any plausible findings. The John Doe’s identity is a mystery -- but the ripple effect his death holds is inevitable. New York City is thrown into hysteria. News headlines, social media posts, and more -- all detailing the crude details of such a grisly affair. The echoes of disaster resound deeply through New York City’s core -- and not even the supernatural are exempt from the deadly claws slowly digging through their essence.
While the mortals scramble to put a name to the John Doe’s broken face, Aleksander is quick to find an identity. Malik Saad, a fresh-faced fledgling who had been turned only months prior. Dead. Not only that -- massacred in cold blood. Aleksander’s doors have always been open to those who wish to reside amongst his ranks -- but it also provided fledglings with the ability to explore their newfound life as an undead on their own terms if they so wished. The lax security meant that Malik’s absence amongst the coven hadn’t been entirely noticed… and now, it came with a price. His death sparks outrage. Why has Aleksander failed to protect his own children of the night? Why have the Death Dealers failed in their sworn duty to protect their own? And more than anything -- have the lycans finally put their plans into motion?
Malik’s murder is nothing short of an act of direct warfare -- a carefully-timed chess move poised to come to light after the latest full moon. A flashy show of dominance -- to say that they are here and they are ready. And yet, no lycan comes forward. Not the Liberation, not a lone wolf, not anyone. The responsible party for Malik’s mauling is still at large -- but perhaps that was their initial intention. To plant the seed of strife and doubt. Aleksander has no choice but to grit his teeth and admit defeat. One life lost is not enough to mobilize a war so soon -- but is he still able to sit back and play defense with unrest growing ever stronger?
we are thrilled to announce that the first in-game arc has begun! now that we have dropped this announcement, characters are free to react to the news however they wish. plot out shifts in dynamics, adjustments to their allegiances, etc! in addition, as announced in our discord server, those who have chosen to opt-in to our individualized tasks will be receiving their designated information in their submit box within the next few days, so please make sure to turn your submissions ON. if you didn’t get a chance to opt-in this time, don’t worry! there will be plenty more opportunities in the future. we are excited to get the ball rolling so stay tuned!
It is with a heavy heart that the staff of UWFM announces that we are closing the roleplay group. Due to unforeseen circumstances in our personal lives, maintaining & running a group as plot-intensive and interaction-driven as UWFM has become a task that we have had a difficult time maintaining. Though this group has been nothing but a labor of love that has helped us foster so many unique and intriguing dynamics as well as a stellar quality of writing on our dash, the attention required to maintain the main has been something we have struggled with for quite some time. While we considered expanding the admin team, the premise of UWFM is a concept that we have worked on together for months and decided that we think the group had run its course in due time.
To the members of UWFM, past and present--thank you so much for trusting us enough to bring your characters to our dash. We are so lucky to have seen so many well-thought out and fleshed-out characters. We thoroughly enjoyed every second of watching the dynamics unfold within the rp & have loved laughing & chatting with everyone over the past few months. We are so grateful that everyone gave UWFM--and by proxy, us--a chance. Everyone here is brimming with talent and we are so glad we got to write with you all. While closing this chapter of UWFM is a difficult decision, we are optimistic that our writing lives may cross again someday in the future! So until that time comes, we want to bid all of UWFM’s members a very warm & thankful goodbye. This wouldn’t have been possible without you.

our acceptance date and time is set for MONDAY , JUNE 22ND AT 4:00 PM EST. this is the time at which our submit will come to a CLOSE. we will go through all apps and make out decisions from that point on. we will not be accepting reserves for this round of acceptances, so please note this date and time!
if you’re still working on your app, we are super super excited to read it! currently, we sill have no apps for any of our lycans, so we highly encourage interested parties to submit an app or two for them if they are interested!
we also want to remind everyone that secondary applications are one hundred percent welcome. if you choose to app for a second character, just keep in mind that we ask you to indicate which character you have a preference for.
