soooo... my brain doth seem to be broken a wee bit... I am stunned I started 2022 without a stabby-project in the hoop, on the go *gasp* I'm drawing a blank too. Last year I started the year off with the EPIC Red Dragon and moved onto the Rainbow Phoenix yadda-yadda... etc... and had a bumper year for embroidery. Mischief Managed! Not only did I get all the new beads away I managed to add the 500+ newly wrapped threads to my ‘pallets’. Left- 2 on-the go boxes and pearl cotton. Middle- Colours! Right- black/white, flesh tones, and specialty (multi toned, metallic, glow in the dark, pearl, silk etc...) Calling the newest 14” hoop -Star Boy, for now... Stitching through paint $&%* SUCKS, loooooots! I will have to find a better way to make bricks fer sure. While I had the light board out decided to make a slew of template drawings... -Really rough trace in pencil of a photo... -then an ink retrace, always tweaking here and there-focus on the clothing folds... -then I will scan the ink drawing to re-print to-size for any future projects. I’ll separate the people each as their own unique file too... Back to fixating on an idea for a 14” hoop... been staring at SOAR up on my wall (for sale btw!) and thinking... if I paint the wall/graffiti and stitch the person, sidewalk, plants etc... it could look really good AND get that 3D/texture thing going I like so much... when I say ‘it pops out’ I reaaallly want it to pop out! Not feelin’ a new 14” hoop design... yet. Did some sorting and shuffling of supplies today, looking for inspiration... Found 3 looooong lost projects, all Fairies, things I got frustrated with and put (read tossed with disgust or utter-frustration) aside... might be time to finish ‘em up, like I did with Spoke the the Bees. Also have the Spring Blossom CreativiTree on the go too but it only needs stitching so I’m saving it for Gazebo Time... the trees always come together faster outside.
