Within a few decades, that disbelief had turned into many new fields of research. Even so, the influence of psychological stress on strength training adaptations remains poorly investigated. This study is one of the very few that has explored how psychological stress might influence the adaptations resulting from a long-term training program. As expected, higher stress levels seem to have negative effects. Competed in my first powerlifting meet yesterday! Weighed in at 141lbs, competed in 66kg junior, here's my best lifts Squat: 150kg/330.7lb Bench: 105kg/231.5lb Deadlift: 195kg/430lb I also hit a 110kg/242.5lb bench which is the second bench vid, but I was redlighted for a technical error (butt lifted off the bench). Overall really happy with my progress this first year of training despite some back injuries a few months ago (why I squatted highbar), and looking forward to many more PRs soon!
