ā - when they were younger, Stretch would catch chills all the time, so Sans got in the habit of bundling him up. Even though it's not an issue anymore, there is a surplus of winter wear in his closet
ā - Tori loves the snow, but it brings a lot of bittersweet memories with it. It probably wouldn't take Frisk too much convincing to get her to make snow angels with them
ā - Edge bakes like it's his day job pretty much the entire holiday month, almost exclusively for gifting purposes. Coincidentally, this also means heās wound up memorizing everyone around hims' food preferences and allergies
ā - absolutely none of the undynes are safe to go sledding with. Not one of them.
ā - most if not all of the monsters who predominantly lived in Snowdin know how to ice skate, or would pick it up super fast
ā - Ghost and fsg Chara both love hot chocolate, but Chara is a purist (just plain, rich hot chocolate) and Ghost is always Putting Things in there, ranging from relatively normal (caramel, cinnamon, etc) to things like sweet tarts or poprocks. This sparks a lot of household debate
ā - everyone close enough to them uses their respective robots as heaters. Sorry Mettaton and Napstabot (lowkey they probably usually love it tho)

ā¼ Asgore still hopes one day Toriel will simply change her mind, isn't as bitter as UT Toriel, but also isn't as proactive
ā¼ Muffet is mute, but people often mistake her as being deaf, which can be a dangerous mistake to make if a patron decides to be rude in her presence
ā¼ Both Alphys and Undyne stutter, though Alphys' is more a natural tic while Undyne primarily only stutters when she's stressed out, and it's specifically more the kind where she'll stop halfway through a sentence and start it over
ā¼ Sans and Alphys were friends before he joined the guard. It's almost funny, given that neither of them actually want to be in the guard...
ā¼ Alphys and Toriel have a strange relationship, where Alphys was already a teen when she really met Toriel properly. She somewhat idolizes her, and has a crush on her, which is why she's terrified of failing her
ā¼ Toriel is somewhat aware of how much strain she's put on those working directly under her, and she feels very guilty for it. She tries to make up for it by baking them pies or other sweets and trying to encourage them to take up relaxing hobbies. It doesn't work that well
ā¼ Papyrus struggles with anxiety a lot, but it's hard to tell most of the time, since heās found his patterns and habits and has familiarized himself well enough with most to have an easier time dealing with them
ā¼ Chara mumbles a lot, so others tend to get the impression they're shy when they really aren't usually
ā¼ Papyrus and Asgore don't bond over jokes like UT Sans and Toriel do. Asgore tells Papyrus his jokes remind him of someone he used to care about very much, they wind up talking more so about day to day things, or other interests, rather than trading jokes
ā¼ Papyrus still tends towards putting more effort into his jokes than Sans, however he also unfortunately makes really stupid puns by accident all the time, and only realizes whenever Sans hits him with one of Those Looks, which makes Papyrus groan and bury his head in his hands while Sans laughs
ā¼ Burgerpants remains unchanged except he doesn't work for Napstabot, he works the nice cream stand in Snowdin (and hates it)
Au headcanons for !!! A bunch of random ones actually lol
āæ In sweetswap, everything is very pastel and soft looking, for the most part, so after surfacing, monsters are genuinely taken aback and a bit surprised how saturated and dense the colours of the surface are. They thought the books and movies might've been artistically exaggerated...
āæ Ice, Invertedfell Papyrus, doesn't have the soft spot for animals most other Fell Papyri have, but he'd actually be excellent at caring for them, and generally finds them easier to deal with than other monsters lol
āæ Void, of Vesselfell fame /j, wasn't always like that! I don't think I address it very often, but he didn't become a Vessel until around 12 ish. Before then, he was almost just a regular Fell Papyrus.
āæ Sylv, Underswap Undyne, focuses a lot more on biological sciences as the Royal Scientist. She's nearly more akin to a medical doctor with her knowledge and specialties, while Axel, Alphys, still has an interest in tech. They still met the same way as in Undertale...
āæ I'm not sure if I've talked about it here or not, but I have a Sometimes-Headcanon that after surfacing Underfell Asgore basically goes into a sort of permanent assistance/rehab type place. It's years before anyone visits (after the one time Gerson does shortly after surfacing), the first being Undyne, and then eventually Papyrus a few years later. Someone comes to check in him at least every few years after that. Heās...content, there.
āæ I've always kind of liked the idea of Grillby having hypnotizing magic, though he rarely if ever uses it, and it's not super strong/wears off quickly
āæ Dusk, Horrorfell Papyrus, can't paint like he used to, but he eventually comes to find comfort in doing what he can, mostly using his knuckles and laying a canvas flat on the floor. Sometimes his cats help lol
āæ Patch, Horrortale Sans, prefers milder weather, making Fall his favorite season. Heās not a fan of Halloween, but sometimes he'll nap in a pile of leaves when heās done (or taking a break from) raking.
āæ Lace, Lovefell Papyrus, likes doing crafts! Of all kinds. Beading, embroidery, crocheting, wood burning (I can't remember what it's called, when you draw in wood by burning it), sewing, you name it! If it can be done by hand, he enjoys doing it <3
āæ Iris, Underswap Toriel, is an incredible singer. She sounds classically trained, and back in the day, people could hear her singing all the time. It's not so common anymore, but every once in a blue moon, she can be heard singing quietly in the throne room.

So, for the most part, whenever I draw characters in costumes, I rarely consider the characters tastes and more so choose who I want to dress them as lol, so actually thinking on it, youād probably get a wide variety of costumes
Tale
Rus - honestly Iām pretty sure he just makes up his own ideas for costumes and doesnāt actually dress and anyone specifically, since Sans says, in game, that Papyrusā outfit is what theyād made for a costume party, so I think. He just makes up a costume he thinks looks cool and goes with it! Though I believe his sense of fashion is heavily influenced by mettaton so take that as you will.
Sans - heās not really. A doer. More of a. Donāter. So heād. Probably just be whatever someone else wanted him to be? As long as they got him the costume, otherwise youāre getting like. A piece of paper that says ācostumeā taped to his chest lol
Dyne - hell yeah sheāll wear a costume! Sheāll likely just make up something on her own, like Rus, but if Alphys wanted her to wear something specific or do a couples costume, sheād be really into it!!!

Stretch - he is similarly lazy to Sans, but heās also more prone to excitement, like Papyrus. It wouldnāt be hard to convince him to put on a costume, but if he had to choose one himself, it would likely be a closet-cosplay style costume of a character from Sylvās (US Undyne) comics or a video game he likes!
Blue - I feel like thereās a chance heād do something similar to Rus? But maybe a little more inclined to do a character he likes! Maybe a superhero, or a supervillain, for some reason I can see him dressed as captain falcon? Idk. But I donāt think heād get as into designing his own like Rus, regardless.
Sylv - she would absolutely take the opportunity to be a character from her favorite comics. Sheād go all out in making it, too, try to get it as accurate as possible!
Fell
Edge - costumes are for children. Heād likely just wear his guard uniform because thatās the closet approximation heās got. But if someone like Frisk or Flowey specifically asked him to dress as someone, like Ghost Rider, heād be hard pressed to say no (as long as the costume wasnāt too humiliating). Althoughā¦he may also take the opportunity to wear a more outlandish outfit he thinks looks cool, or if he had to dress for an event or party or whatever, he might go with a classic, like a vampire or something. Heās one of the few who would even do make up, though, if the costume called for it.
Red - same boat as Sans. I canāt imagine him deliberately putting effort into a costume of his own volition. But like Edge, I could imagine itās easier for him to be talked into it by someone he has a soft spot for. I think Toriel would be the most likely suspect in these circumstances.
Levi - sure why not. Sheās completely the type to just go to a costume shop and pick out whatever the hell she thinks looks badass and call it a day. She will accessorize it with real weapons, though, so be careful.
SF
Copper - frankly I think heād vibe with costumes. If thereās any outfit heād seen from a movie or something he wants to cop, now is the time baby. Or maybe something slightly generic, like. A demon hunter. Just, make up some cool looking outfit from clothes he thrifted. Heād try to make it look low effort, but low key heād also wanna be proud of itā¦
Gold - heād definitely need to be talked into wearing a costume. Itās not even that heās really against it, per se, but someone would need to kind of prove it was worth it to him, and heād also lean more towards classics, like a vampire, or a comic book villain.
SF Undyne - maybe maybe not. Iām honestly not sure if sheād wear a costumeā¦I have to flesh her out more.
FS
Ghost - he doesnāt really care. As long as it doesnāt look stupid and itās comfortable heāll probably wear whatever. But heās not likely to pick a costume on his own, I donāt thinkā¦
Haze - he would definitely just wear his uniform, but your chances of convincing him to do anything else is next to nonexistent.
FS Undyne - initially, I donāt think sheās be into the idea of costumes, but if you found a weak spot for her, like a costume her Alphys thought would look good on her, sheād cave easily.
