Well! I think that's depends on your end goal here. This is a family friendly blog /silly /hj but! Assuming you mean in a dating sort of way. That's gunna vary based on if they're still underground or not. The chances aren't very good underground, since relationships are just frankly more dangerous than they're worth, however on the surface...

For as flirtatious as he is, Lace can be elusive. He’s friendly and charming and bubbly! Except...you'd probably realize he doesn't reveal things about himself. He’s shockingly good as slipping through fingers, and despite seeming so open and pleasant for a Fell Papyrus, if you're really paying attention to him, everything is very surface level. It's like he’s a perpetual background character. There when he’s meant to be, not when he isn't. What does that even mean? It's almost like he doesn't exist outside of how he interacts with others.

In reality, he craves closeness and affection so desperately that he’s terrified of making himself that vulnerable. He knows how easy it would be to get hurt letting someone in, and a handful of experiences underground taught him some very hard lessons on how deeply those wounds can cut.

If you want something more than just, ah, some company, it will take a lot of patience. More than anything he cherishes sincerity and honesty. Someone willing to prove he can trust them, and move at his pace. And he’s also a massive sappy romantic, so doing things like getting him flowers or offering sincere compliments now and then go a long way.

-He really does love pink things, pink and red and white themed stuff, it matches his magic well, and it gives him gender euphoria

-Speaking of, Lace generally prefers he/him pronouns but is incredibly androgynous presenting and loves being seen as both masculine, feminine, and everything in between!

-Going back to the pink thing, this by default makes him especially love strawberry and cherry flavored things. He has a liiitttllle bit of a sweet tooth and loves strawberry milkshakes or cherries dipped in dark chocolate. Semi unrelated but also those super fluffy Japanese style pancakes

-Very bouncy. He physical stims a lot more than he notices usually, when he’s really relaxed and comfortable, he'll twirl things with his hands, like a pen or a tassel on his clothes, or he'll bounce lightly on his toes or go over a dance routine in his head with little movements. When he’s in a good mood and somewhere safe, he’s usually moving!

-HUGE sappy romantic, classic gestures of romance make him crazy, like if someone gave him flowers, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. Innocent shows of affection (even platonic!) never fail to fluster him terribly (even if he doesn't always show it outwardly)

-Very bratty and loves to tease but in a very lighthearted way, and usually only with those close to him (or at least the lighthearted part lmao)

-Loves going for nature walks or hikes, he loves nature and watching the sky <3

-Journals! But mostly just silly little notes and doodles, and only every once in a while (might like decorating the journals more than writing in them lol)

My lovefell boys. They simultaneously have a better and worse relationship than a lot of my other fell brothers. Sans (Cire) was much more protective of Papyrus (Lace) when they were younger, which led to Papyrus being a lot more dependent on Sans as they got older. Unfortunately, Sans still kept a lot of emotional walls up, so while he was more supportive of Papyrus, he still didn't exactly "let him in", which left Papyrus feeling isolated more often than not.

Their age difference also complicated things, as Sans had to start working to support them when Papyrus was young enough to still really need him around more. Of course, he was old enough to understand, but that didn't really make it any easier.

While things in LF were...better, in some aspects, they were also worse in other ways, which complimented a lot of Papyrus' issues in the perfectly wrong way. Without receiving solid guidance, he tended toward unhealthier coping mechanisms and mindsets, and since they'd grown apart by the time Papyrus was a teen/young adult, trying to intervene usually just led to arguments and lashing out.

They both knew what was wrong, but not how to fix it without making things worse, so there wasn't much to do, especially considering they were sort of both right about knowing what was wrong...but not entirely. Like each had a different assortment of puzzle pieces, but both thought they had the whole picture. Which, of course, only made communicating that much harder.

In a happy ending scenario where they surface and both receive the help they need, they certainly wouldn't ever be as close as they could've been, and might even end up more distant than other fell brothers, but they'd probably be able to talk more healthily and clearly with each other whenever they did have the opportunity.
