This continues to befuddle me

Haven’t heard of it before you

And I constantly wonder

WOULDNT THAT JUST BE REFREEZING??

ya see here in minnesota everything is frozen by default so it works in reverse

I am by no means a member of the grammar police. I'm pretty adaptable and I understand that the internet is a very informal place for the most part. Still, there are times when I simply shake my head at the inability of some people to actually understand what they are saying.

For example, one of my managers kept telling me to not let any product unthaw. She said "If it unthaws then it can't be put back in the freezer." 

I don't think she understood that her sentence made no sense at all. The problem with the word "unthaw," is that it means the exact opposite of how it's generally used. "Unthaw" is synonymous with "freeze." Which means it's an unnecessary word that shouldn't even exist because it serves no purpose except confusion.
