Shinra was smiling. It was probably inappropriate giving his surroundings, but he thought it best to maintain a positive attitude no matter what the situation. Even with the city starting to tear itself apart around him. On the positive side, with all these injured people Shinra could be a great help. He was a doctor after all. On the negative side, the one he was ignoring right now, Shinra was also quite squishy and could easily be one of the next injured.
That was something he realized just as he began to flee, mouth smiling wide with exhilaration as one of the attackers turned on him. “You know, it’s bad manners to shoot the medic,” He said backing up with his hands up when the man approached him. When he didn’t respond, Shinra simply tilted his head, “Oh well, I suppose that won’t dissuade you.”
He took two steps forward like he might actually fight back, but that was just a feint so he could pick up his first aid kit. The moment he had it, he split off in the opposite direction. Shinra was not at all an athletic or graceful runner though, and soon he tripped head over heel and spun over a couple of times. It must have been comical to look at. Shinra hoped at least somebody in this city would appreciate his boke moment. He got up on his knees and crawled a few paces. Just enough to reach his medical case, and snatch it up again.
He hadn’t noticed until then, but there was a kid near where he had fallen. Shinra got to his feet, his body was obviously too stressed, scrawny, squishy, too normal for this abnormal situation. He was shaking, but his smile wasn’t, as he looked at the kid. “Oh, are you injured too?” He asked, “Shinra Kishitani medical services, I’m running a special sale right now, free in the event of city wide emergencies!” With that he posed with his arms wide to show that he was alright.
