Underworld FL is walking proof that if you make the choice to better your community, even when that's a hard thing to do, your community will be better for it.
The vibes have been utterly immaculate since they decided to put their money where their mouth is, in regards to their DEI policies. They chose to uphold a ban over misogynistic comments. A lot of folks threatened to leave, some did—including a member of staff, who was friends with the banned player.
They just had their biggest event ever, only a few months later. I think the number was 90 people, which is really good for a post-covid LARP, especially in Florida where Mythic cuts into the fantasy market really hard. After all, players will go where they feel safe and respected.
