It's been quite a long time since I've rambled about Ultrakill so let's change that with a recent observation I had on Hell's motives.
Right now it's clear that one of the main reasons Hell adores V1 so much is because of the entertainment it provides. However, I wonder if the fondness for V1 and subsequently other robots comes from a place of relating to them.
Hell is a being that was created in a moment of pure rage by a god that was angered his playthings weren't behaving like he wanted them to. It wasn't just a prison for mankind, but a living breathing thing of hate and malice, and as such, this is all Hell knows. It was simply never given a chance to feel anything but.
Every other group of beings, even the ones that were born from its own mass, have had the opportunity to experience at least some form of compassion (Counting Deathcatchers because even though they didn't experience any love in their creation, they still try to protect others). Some form of true, genuine kindness.
All except one.
Mankind created these blood-fueled machines to feed a never-ending cycle of war and violence. They were created to destroy, and nothing more. It was all they were ever programmed to do. They were never given a chance to experience kindness. War and violence is simply all they know. Even ones created in the New Peace still were not given a chance to be anything more than what they were programmed to do.
Neither given the chance to experience love.
Neither given the chance to experience compassion.
Perhaps our little GoPro and Hell aren't so dissimilar.
Finally made an ultrakill oc :3
I had literally SO much fun making his design and working in reasons for parts of his designs, ( he’s supposed to look like the angels for a reason), I’ll answer any questions best I can still very much fleshing out his lore and stuff :33
also I have no idea how robot mechanics work lowkey so if something wouldn’t work realistically just ignore it 😭😭
