Unless you realise you still don't sound like the recording. So you can either just accept it.... or go digging, and find you have to tune all 4 strings waaaaaaay down from GCEA down to D# G# C and F..... and not even play standard uke chords but baritone uke chords. Which includes two Barre chords. When none of these strings are even tuned like a baritone.

It's like pure serotonin when you finally get that clangy sound, but good grief. My strings are so loose that the pick sometimes gets caught. (And tbh now I get why it sounds like that).
