ingredient: olives -- WALK W ME HERE okay yes i know it's a pun on his name no that's not why i picked it (okay, it's PART of the reason) but actually olive/olive oil has been having a Moment (TM) in fragrance lately, so much so that for our bi-annual (once every two years) massive trends exhibit, it was one of the featured "new it ingredients" of the new generation (along with like olive oil cakes and like olive oil lattes etc etc); but i like it especially for lexiver because it's kind of a "cheeky" note? it's a "green" note but also has a luxurious, "fattiness" or a "butteriness" to it that makes everything in a fragrance feel both more elevated and a bit raunchy? like it smells like indulgence and tell me that's not like... perfect for you guys.
fragrance: oh my cat by dog generation -- AGAIN. it's fun and lighthearted, but very sexy and warm at the same time. the cool thing about this is that sans the olive note, it's actually quite a "traditional" fragrance structure -- you've got the citrus on top, the white florals in the middle, and a warm, ambery base -- it's tried and true, but the olive note gives it a bit of intrigue and brings a newness to what would otherwise be a pretty good fragrance, nostalgic and familiar and comfortable, but with the olive, it brings this fragrance to like a new level of "yumminess". it's addictive, and when you first smell it, it'll make you be like "wait what is that" and i think that hint of mystery fits you and oliver so well!
inspiration: i did do a bit of lexiver stalking and i just love the vibe that you guys give? like it starts of as something purely physical (as a lot of things do) but evolves into something bigger and more addictive, but i don't think you guys ever lose that playful edge, and like the comfortability you guys have with each other physically definitely shows and it makes me think of both these things right -- like olive oil might seem familiar, but a good one can literally make a normal dish into something magnificent, and the fragrance is the same, something new and mysterious, wrapped in a story as old as time itself.
