She sits so still the birds forget she’s there, letting the forest breathe around her. And when stories make her cry, she simply pretends they didn’t. Drink: She brews her own wild herb teas, depending on how she feels. But warm milk is her quiet favorite

Passed University: No, but she taught herself to read—stories made it worth the effort. Later, she picked up some numbers too—after someone tried to cheat her for a handful of golden strands

Siblings: One older brother. She used to watch him practice with his bow until one day he said, “Want to try?” She did—and hit her first target. She was a hunter after that, whether she liked it or not

Parents: Alive and well—and still very much in love. She never questioned what love looked like. It was right in front of her
