I like to make stuff
The pilot from the 4th ending for Galaga '88.
I'm very happy with how this one turned out. I used the colors straight from the game and I just love how it looks! Sure, the hands could be better, but overall, I'm very satisfied. The background came from the drawing app I was using.
Hope you like it! 😉👍
I beat Shadow Labyrinth!
...yeah, it was alright. I enjoyed my time with it, and I'll probably replay it in a month or two to see how it holds up.
It certainly isn't on the same level of quality as Metroid, Castlevania, or... well, I haven't actually played any other Metroidvanias, but you get the idea.
I do get the feeling that the budget wasn't really that high. The animation (particularly on NPCs) has room for improvement, and, while I feel like there's something about that game's story that I could've really liked, I ultimately wasn't too invested... though maybe the fact I wasn't even aware the UGSF timeline was a thing until after the game was announced didn't help.
That said, I am willing to be gentler on the game since it's only $30. I'd set say it met the relatively low standards I had going into it.
I'm curious to hear what other people who've beaten the game, or at least played it, have to say.

Cringetober 24/31 - Niche Interest
The UGSF Timeline is a particular niche interest of mine, its admittedly something that is sort of on and off again a thing thats acknowledged by bandai namco as its more to do with the namco portion of their name. the encompassing of games and series like mr driller, galaga, ace combat, dig dug, smash court tennis, tales of eternia, galaxian and so forth into a shared timeline detailing the rise of an organization and then world government, the UGSF.
I've talked about it at lengths in this blogpost here, where i even present a lovely chart of how the series connect. Something that was even acknowledged by one of the main scenario writers and proponent of the UGSF timeline Hisaharu Tago on twitter.

Crossovers and Shared Universes are a special interest of mine so i enjoy the UGSF timeline, it makes me wide eyed like the tbh creature.
sometimes i think about UGSF and how the entire ace combat lore leads into fucking dig dug
realized this is so niche that I may actually be the first person ever to make an edit out of it
