I've been frusterated and hurt since I posted about my endometriosis to my close friends, not that there's been a weird response, or even a lack of response? The people that know & I've been talking to about it I didn't expect them to comment or even need to read the post (as we talk about our health stuff frequently) but ?? Idk
Idk!! It's the lack of support from 1 specific person that's be getting to me, because she has said in the past she understands and has my back. And it's not like I generally posted, and she didn't reach out? She reached out to me a couple of weeks ago, asked how I'm doing, I was honest but not over sharing ("it's been difficult/updates with my health") to her liking the text 🙄!
If she wasn't a close friend who pledged to be there for me, I wouldn't care yk?
And then some other responses have been ..... weird. Idk. Idk! Nothing from my loved ones (they've all been incredibly wonderful) but, one girl responded to a meme I made right after the post detailing the health horrors saying "I might have endo too that sucks" like ??
Did she even read the post? It's so incredibly tone deaf. I'm not expecting people to outpour support and love right? The people who have, are already doing that! And the people who can't have minded their business and have shown me community support in other ways.
I just think it's weird & tone deaf to say "oh that sucks" when the story before was linking to an essay I wrote about how scared I am of the breast implant sized ovary I have, and the surgery I'm going to have to get. It's obvious she didn't read it. She also said "I missed the lore" like girl. Literally the story before WAS the lore!
I guess I was just hoping more people would read the post. Care enough to read the post? Like people that don't already know! And this is all to my closest friends, who have been seeing my posts for the last year regarding my declining health 😪
