one of the biggest misconceptions about dean in this fandom is the argument that he does not talk about his emotions and/or that he’s not empathetic. imo dean winchester is all heart and he feels more deeply than most. he wears his heart on his sleeve and he absolutely does discuss his emotions when someone gives him a safe space to do so and when they’re not trying to force him to discuss something he isn’t ready to talk about (ex. post-hell). dean cares a great deal about others - his family, friends, strangers he encounters along the way - and their well-being. dean is often burdened by caring too much. dean’s vulnerable and open when he feels safe enough and if you can’t see all the heart and deep emotion there then i can’t help you.
