Happy Thanksgiving, cousins! 🦃
Now Thanksgiving is not actually celebrated monthly like Pleakley believes, but it's still time to celebrate the holiday with the Thanksgiving tradition of a rousing game of... baseball?
Ih, baseball. ⚾
I've been working with @angoraram on this comic since July and it took four months to complete due to our conflicting schedules. I was hoping we would have it done before the 2025 MLB season ended, but alas, life gets in the way. Nevertheless, I'd say it was time well spent! 😁
Anyway, here we have team captains Yin and Slugger facing off each other in a friendly ball game. Well, it would be friendly if it weren't for Slugger just dominating the game as per usual with his tail bat. But our tentacled cousin here may have discovered the special formula that could turn things around for her and her team.
By the way, have anyone played the Flash game Stitch: Cosmic Slugger? 😉
Tangled Up
I really like it when a character with octopus features uses their tentacles to wrap themselves around those they love, like a huge hug!
I like to imagine that, If and When, Yin and Yang develop their relationship further, nobody would be able to tell. Not because they stop spending time together when others are around, but rather they act normally, like they always do so nobody thinks about it further than surface level.
However as soon as they are alone, or out of view then they become a lot more affectionate towards the other. The main reasons for this arrangement is, of course Nosy, and them wanting the peace around them to remain.
List of experiments whose names aren't tied to their functions/abilities
Gigi (007) - Named by Mertle, who adopted her believing she was a dog. Lilo originally wanted to name her "Yapper".
Topper (025) - He ended up using his ability to become a Christmas tree topper instead of carrying out his primary function.
Shoe (113) - Lilo said he needed shoes.
Link (251) - Short for "Lincolnstein", a fictional zombie president.
Mary (455)
Yin (501) - Was named this after it was discovered she could work well with Yang.
Yang (502) - Was named this after it was discovered he could work well with Yin.
Derrick (566)
Yaarp (613) - Debatable. I've heard that "yaarp" is a word for a loud noise in Pleakley's language, but this wasn't directly stated or implied in Yaarp's episode and I haven't been able to find anything that confirms it.
Chopsuey (621) - Debatable. The 621 we know from the PS2 game wasn't officially given a real name, and it's not known what kind of 621 would have been in the series if they showed one, nor whether they would have taken elements from the game's canon.
Angel (624) - She's meant to sing like an angel and Stitch sees her as one, but the specific reason behind her name wasn't made clear.
Reuben (625) - Named for the sandwiches he makes, which he wasn't programmed for.
Stitch (626) - Named by Lilo, who adopted him believing he was a dog. The big theory goes that she wanted someone to "stitch" her family back together.
Leroy (629) - Named by Hamsterviel, who deemed the name genius.
I think it's cool that there can be lots of different origins for experiment names! Some of these still relate to their abilities by coincidence!

who knew I needed this in my life
In May of 2023, I drew experiments 501, 502, and 509 from Lilo and Stitch on their days! The top hosts Sprout, a plant dragon like experiment that can become an uncontrollable jungle unless contained, and Yin and Yang, water and lava spewing experiments who make islands together. They're drawn in kimonos due to their name heritage.
Experiment 501
Yin
Primary function: To spray people with massive blasts of water
She is designed to attack people by spraying blasts of water from her tentacles (the water is absorbed from outside sources.) Jumba believed that she and Experiment 502 (Yang) would be immensely destructive together and create giant explosions if they ever touched.
Instead, it turned out they work together perfectly and creatively: together, they can make new rock, land and islands. As a result, their names are derived from the concept of yin and yang; in Yin's case her name stems from the force of yin, which is associated with femininity, water, and cold, fitting her nature.
One true place: Creating a new island with Experiment 502 (Yang)
