So I've started a project that's been brewing in my head for awhile. Once a week I plan to collect a little bit of nature, specifically plant life, to create a single letter of the alphabet that I will photograph, create a cyanotype with and sketch/watercolor. I started with B last week (yeah I know B is not the first letter of the alphabet 😒) and I'm pretty please with the results. #type #typography #chinaberry #B #typeproject #plantlife #cyanotype #watercolor

Photographs of my Type Specimen book outcome, That I perhaps like more as an outcome than the type itself especially the bottom image with the layered acetate. I enjoyed producing this and tried to make it in a way that showcased the type in a way it would be used. 

Type developments, editing turning and fine tuning weights. Quite happy with the shapes and forms the light produced. I feel the font itself would be used for more poster and heading work than type setting. 

Editing the curning and neatening the edges of letters using glyphs, Although want to keep the rawness from the traced shadow images and not have the letters become to digitalised 

Photographs of the shadows I will be tracing for my letters moving the lamp round the stencil 90s degrees each time so emulate the circling that the sun does to the earth. 

Research on Greenwich Observatory the building I have been given for the type project, I have come to the conclusion I would like to find a method that is relevant to that of astronomy or at least time, light to create my type rather than basing it on the atheistic of the building it self
