Even though I’m feeling real crummy today, I have decided this spell needs to be completed today!!! So, I created this chinaberry necklace for my fiancé last night using color correspondences I associate with luck, confidence, success and great achievements. I’ll be charging this necklace with citrine, quartz, and amazonite until this evening, when I will have a light a small fire on my patio, throw a special herbal blend into the blaze, and run the necklace through the special smoke to imbue it with the power of charisma and confidence. Specifically, I’ll be having my fiancé conduct the smoke ritual, because this talisman is for a possible job interview for him. I want to make sure he is involved in this process. With the little poppet I made for him to attract new opportunities, he was also involved in a very small portion of its creation. This is to make sure his intentions are also imbued into these spells.
I’d like to also shout out where I got the spells for this talisman and the poppet opportunity charm from. I found them in The Spell Book for New Witches. I did tweak them a little to fit my own purposes, but the spells in that book are pretty straight forward and simple. I do have a couple gripes about the author featuring sage cleansing as a spell, when it is a closed indigenous practice, and I also feel that the spells are more advanced than what some beginner witches are ready for. But ultimately, I think it’s a pretty good text for witches who have some experience but would like some spellcrafting inspiration.
