Wow! What a costume! What a reuse! Β This pink dress was likely created by Givenchy for Audrey as Holly Golightly in 1961, though there is quite a bit of speculation and scandal around that fact (see below)! Β The costume went on to be reused in another production, the 1965 film π»πππππ π΄π, where it was worn by Jocelyn Lane as Pam Merritt. π»πππππ π΄π was produced by Allied Artists but was filmed at Paramount Studios β the same studio that had π©ππππππππ ππ π»ππππππβπ, making it almost certain that this gown was pulled from the costume racks for reuse. Β Costumes worn by Audrey are rarely brought up for sale, so when Christieβs listed it in 2007 (with the fan-shaped appliquΓ©s heavily faded), it sold for $192,000!
