IGHFLYDKTSUFKSTU YIPPIE YAHOO WHOOPIE!!! oh god where do I actually start with this hold on I'm collecting my brain worms putting them into a jar and shaking them to try and figure out where I'm putting what and what the timeline of bullshit is here

Okay so for some UNKNOWN reason my Yuu's (save for Yee, they are an enigma) have some form of themeing/association with the stars, moon, magic and mirrors. I don't know why this common theme keeps popping up, I've always been a sun girlie despite everything about me including my name being at complete odds with that, but it's worms it's way into EVERY. PIECE. OF. LORE. I. CREATE.

For example the main timeline of this stupid side story to twst that Ori and Evie have is wholly based off of the wishing star, the very god mother, Merlin and The moon. And reincarnation because in actuality Ori and Evie are reincarnations. Like, Evie is literally the reincarnation of the Wishing Star who I imagine would be like a god or atleast a super duper powerful being in twst that used to exist but now only exists in fairytales like it's mentioned in the playful land event. She lived for hundreds upon hundreds of years before reincarnation and was even alive for the fae war wherein she lost all she treasured (golden cheese cookie reference??) and lost her only love, Ace's first incarnstion. Their whole story is wrapped in the timeloop theory of twst but make it like hundreds of years long and give it a few genshin ass story beats. Doomed to an entirely other level. This woman has tried and failed for HUNDREDS OF YEARS since then to save him and EVERY SINGLE TIME she's failed. Girl failure except she really is just a freaking failure. So, heartbroken and having lost faith in everything she's ever known she reincarnates. I decided that the wishing star was made by combining the power or fae magic, the fairy god mothers magic and merlins own magic. They basically dumped that magic into a lake like they were making an alcoholic beverage and BOOM star baby.

Ori is Merlins granddaughter who he adopted after finding her alone and abandoned in a moonlit field. This girl is a Merlin Hawk and she's also incredibly adept when it comes to magic, I like to think that half of the stuff taught in Arcane schools is just piles and piles of her research from hundreds of years of extending her life span. Because her magic can do that. It's just that easy for her. Merlin took no time in teaching this random orphan he'd planned to nurse back to health and then dump on some poor family like she was his own child and Ori was the only thing capable of pulling him away from his work. He was serious, intimidating and incredibly stoic, think like malleus, but then instantly he turned into our modern day Lilia because of this tiny hawk girl. She taught him humanity, he taughter her magic. A fair trade. The price of giving your life to researching magic has always been your humanity and for Ori it was no different. She's connected heavily with destiny in my brain, like everything she does is ordained by the moon. If I ever design her past life appearance she's gonna be one moon-looking lady like I'm telling you she's dropped out. Grand mage and all. She did send troops to help the fae upon Evie's request, but she knew damn well they'd die before they got there, as is the way of life. She already knew that Evie was going to lose the humans she'd begun to treasure but she kept that to herself, even if she knew it was wrong and regretted it later. She died peacefully, albeit suddenly, after cancelling the magic that had kept her young to return to moon and rest. She then reincarnated alongside Evie because, again, they are fated for eachother. Not romantically no, but they are ALWAYS together. What is the moon without the stars?

So the place I imagined merlin and Ori coming from is like, somewhere close to briar valley like maybe a place that's almost neighbouring it but not quite. I called it Ascian (I think that's the name) and its basically like moon themed Central. It's surrounded by a magical barrier that contains it and literally stops time so it is ALWAYS, ALWAYS night time there. The moon and stars are always out practically hanging from the sky like Christmas ornaments. This is like a city of wizardy, magic, knowledge and free will and this is where my TWST Merlin lives. Right outside of the barrier there's a field of angels trumpet, it isn't supposed to grow in briar valley as it doesn't do well in cold regions but something about this specific patch never dies. It's always in the light of the moon but they never ever bloom, almost as if they're sleeping. This is where Merlin would have found Ori who was fast asleep and had seemingly appeared out of nowhere from within the flowers (THUMBELINA REFERENCE?? 👀👀👀👀) Originally Ori was supposed to be more nature connected in her first design and lore and in her newer lore I still wanted that connection but slowly I started relating her to columbina's whole ass aesthetic and BOOM moon themeing is born!!! Ori is, in her modern life as we know her, Korean and Welsh and I'm pretty sure the moon is super important in both cultures sooo WIN WIN FOR ME SUCKERS!! I also think it helps connect her more with Jack cus Heh... Wolf... Hehe...

I think the fairy god mother would have considered Wishing Star Evie as her grandchild and would have definitely cared for her a lot like a lot a lot about her. Evie was created before the fae war because The Fairy god mother knew that tensions were beginning to rise and the pixies had already predicted something was bound to go terribly wrong sooner or later, and humanity needed hope and protection in the dark times that would arrive so poof Evie is here. She descended on a small agricultural "kingdom" to give them blessings and wishes to aid in their suffering since they were a poor region and had recently been sieged by one of the kingdoms that aided henrick in the fae war (ew I hate that guy he makes so angry) and this was where she met past life ace who flyn rider style taught her about humans and gave her her "humanity". Of course hearing about the wishing stars descent said kingdom attacked once again and killed everybody, including past life ace, and now you'd think Evie would retreat, give up or get captured wouldn't you? Oh no. Oh ho ho no no no no no no. The wishing star, in one of the largest and most mysterious tragedies in history, completely blew both kingdoms off of the map in a matter of seconds out of pure rage and heartbreak. Even God's can commit sins and boy Evie was about to tick of every single one in the book if it weren't for the fairy god mother stepping in. I like to think that this is a thing Trein teaches in his history class so when Evie hears about it for the first time she gets this strange feeling of satisfaction she can't quite place.

I had this idea that Ace occasionally has messy dreams about his past lives with Evie, especially his first one. He doesn't understand why he has this recurring dream about a strange girl nor why he feels so warm and content nor why his heart aches when he wakes up but they never leave. He didn't have them until Evie arrived in TWST and now he cannot stop having them. He usually forgets about them in the end though. When they first meet during each timeloop game wise, not my lore wise, they always get this strange pang in their hearts and minds seeing eachother for "the first time". They think it's hatred, but it's not, it's just their souls desperately yearning and aching for something they just can't have.

As for Ori's current life and how she was before twst I have this thing that her parents are super distant and neglectful, mimicking how she did have parents to begin with because she wasn't really born naturally. She's never had a parental connection with anybody but Merlin and so in her reincarnation she just doesn't have a good connection with her parents. They argue a lot, they're always busy and always stressed. While in TWST, whenever Evie or the first years mention the idea of going home, Ori sort of falters. I'm the end I can actually see her refusing to go back, because she refuses to return to the miserable life of practically throwing herself at people for approval and selling herself just so people would see her and pay attention to her. She doesn't want to return to a family that doesn't even notice she's gone. In her mind, she doesn't have anybody to go back to. When Merlin died in her past life, Ori lost her spark. She was alone. Sure she had Evie, who was like a sister to her, but she didn't have a real family to turn to. She was solitary, and she couldn't form connections due to being put on a pedestal. She died alone. Now in her current life, she'd do literally anything even if it mean disgracing and degrading herself to not die alone.

Here's a fun fact for you, apparently Ori's name in Korean means duck and I cannot get the scenario out of my head that one of her parents (I haven't picked which of them is Welsh and which is Korean yet, I think I might make her mother Korean though) suggested the name Ori because it means "light" or "illumination" and in certain cultures and religions it's considered a guiding spirit or your destiny (which is why I relate her to destiny and fate and the timeloop) while the other is just barely containing laughter because this idiot has decided to name their child DUCK of all things.

Evie's full name is Evie Stern which if you take the meanings literally and put em together means: Living star. Ain't that just neat? Evie is also German!! I don't mention it a lot because I am not German but she is German and she is a very loud German when she wants/needs to be. Even Sebek shrivels when she's yelling in her native tounge.

Evie is a gymnast, she likes being up in the air, I say this because it's her subconscious trying and failing to be closer to the sky, to the stars, to home. She had to quit gymnastics a year before arrived in twst because her body and soul literally cannot survive in a magicless environment and she developed really really severe chronic fatigue. Her body was basically give up on her. It isn't until book 7 that she regains her strength after remembering who she really is thanks to Malleus stupid dreams. Ori remembers in book 7 as well, just a bit later than Evie.

This is actually the earliest they've ever remembered who they are, who they used to be, because it usually happens right before the timeloop resets again.

❤️ How did Ace propose to Evie?? Burn away cake. He ordered a carrot cake (Evie's favourite flavour) and asked they put the ring inside the cake and put paper over top that could easily be burnt away to reveal the ring and the "Will you marry me?" Icing. He had to do a lot of sneaking around to get that and a beach date set up for them, and it didn't take long before Evie started getting frustrated that he was avoiding her. All was forgiven when he proposed, however, and Evie clung to him for the rest of the night.

❤️ After their engagement, Ace had a habit of messing with Ori's ring. His little habit of playing with her fingers and her acrylic nails eventually evolved into him messing with her ring whenever he held her hand. Spinning it, feeling the shape of the gem, rubbing his thumb over the grooves of the design etc etc. The metal of the ring is always warm because of this habit.

❤️⭐: Ace and Evies Engagement rings are perfect for them. They both have a rose quarts in the middle and pink calcites and Kunzites running along the bands, which at gold and molded with little star imprints. The rose quarts gems have a heart ring around them. Their rings were... Ahem.. Expensive... But Ace refuses to ever tell Evie exactly how much money he blew on this...

❤️⭐: Evie and Ace have two kids: Alexa and Leo. Alexa looks exactly like her dad. Tanned colour, ginger hair, goofy grin shit eating grin, pointy teeth, adorable freckles her mams loves to give little pecks to... EVERYTHING. Her eyes are a bright ass gold like her mamas and they shine in the light like stars. Like her mama she's very interested in sports and is incredibly athletic, she's a strong lass, but she's much more into running and martial arts than she is gymnastics. In fact, when she was a toddler she refused to do it in school and sat out like a pouty, grumpy fox. On the lines of foxes, Alexa attempted to take a wild one home as a toddler. She's a sassy little lady who knows she wants and knows exactly how to get what she wants. She has her dad's expert intelligence and winning charisma and her mamas stubbornness and competitiveness. She's a force to be reckoned with both academically and physically, but unfortunately her tendency to get easily distracted takes its toll on her grades....

Leo looks EXACTLY like his mama. Except for the eyes. He has her pink hair and he even has the same rainbow highlights in his hair she has when she gets older and really accepts her identity as the wishing star. He has pointy ears, the same peachy skin, a sweet little smile and the same striking red eyes as his dad. Unlike Alexa he is really calm and incredibly shy, for a long time in his toddler years he did not speak to ANYBODY, so Alexa made him communication cards! They call him star baby or starling cus he got his mamas cosmic abilities, and as a baby he was like a much calmer version of Jack Jack from the incredibles. His birth was probably the hardest on Evie's body, but she loves him to absolute bits. He is NOT athletic AT ALL. He'd die if somebody asked him to run any distance, and instead he has a big interest in performing like his papa, but less the performing and more the construction and prop building. He's really big on architecture. He has his dad's smarts and creative drive and his mother's gentleness and sense of justice.

⭐: When the kids are old enough, Evie takes up a particular habit (something my dad used to do with me as a kid) which is playfighting. She has a tendency to pick up her kids and slam them onto the sofa, not in a painful way since the sofa is cushioned but enough for them to bounce and give them a woosh of air and adrenaline that makes them giggle. She also loves picking them up and putting them on her shoulders so that they can touch the ceiling with their finger tips, which sometimes makes them a bit scared but they enjoy it nonetheless.

❤️⭐: Ace and Evie rely on eachother. They are eachother strength and when one is worried or scared the other is always sure to be equally as worried or scared. When Evie was giving birth Ace was probably the most panicked in the room. He was rushing around, making sure he packed all of her favourite foods, simple activities, fidget toys to use instead of her digging her nails into things, chewies so she wouldn't hurt her jaw too badly or chip a tooth (which she has done before) etc etc... After everything had settled and Baby Alexa and Baby Leo had been taken away both times (Leo is younger than Alexa) he sat beside her with the biggest puppy dog eyes like a deflated balloon. Both times Deuce had to try and calm ace down in hopes that he wouldn't worry Evie and cause any problems in the birth, but if Ace is worried so is Evie and there's no changing that.

❤️: in a little box hidden deep in their shared closet, there's a box. Evie knows about it but doesn't look in it, wanting to respect Ace's privacy incase it's something from a dead relative. In actuality, Ace has been hoarding every gift Evie has ever given him since they started dating. He puts them into a memory box so that one day, if anything happens, she'll be able to look at them fondly or he'll be able to be buried with them. He loves every single present Evie vibes him and cherishes them like gold.

❤️⭐: Evie and Ace's wedding was a beach wedding. They picked the beach on sage island, inviting their friends, family, coworkers and even teachers to come and celebrate. Surprisingly, some of the students they'd taken care of on their first and second year also came, hauling along their own groups of friends and generations of students with them to celebrate. It was in August, prime summer time, and after all the official business, document signing and ceremonial activities, Ace and Evie started a massive waterfight with everybody. They'd brought with them a crate of different weaponry and waged war on their guests, having fun splashing eachother and enjoying the company. The cake was 3 tiers, one tier carrot cake, one tier red velvet and the last tier vanilla. They also had some ice cream, cherry pie with heavy whipping cream, sago pudding and soda floats for guests. Ace and Ori devoured the cherry pies in minutes......

❤️⭐: Getting Ace's family's blessing wasn't difficult. In fact, his family threw them a massive engagement party to celebrate!! The fairy god mother on the other hand? It wasn't that it was hard, it was actually way too easy.... She accepted it in a heartbeat, throwing them a massive fae banquet worthy kings and queens of the realm. Overwhelminf but not unwelcome. Meeting their kids was even better for both families. I headcanon that Ace's dad is a wheelchair user and on his good days he uses a cane, but when he does use his wheelchair he loves giving 6 year old Alexa and 3 year old Leo rides around the house or around town. They make care noises and little squeaks of joy. When the fairy god mother met the babies? She was way too ecstatic. She gave Evie and Ace bunches of books filled with faeland rituals, advice on how to take care of them, recipes, treats, abundances of very expensive and questionable fae gifts and personally blessed the children with her magic. She even had them bathe in the lake that Evie was created from to make them really feel like her own grandkids, as well as give them nature's blessing.

I absoloutely want to do more of these soon please give me more ideas...... I love them so much it's sickening...

*Ace, having snuck out to Ramshackle once again stands with a goofy grin on his face on Evie's doorstep. Ace is covered in scratches, holding a stolen cherry tart and bunches of roses he definetly chopped from the heartslabyul rose bushes. Evie blinks a few times, staring at him, before silently letting him inside. Once he places down the tart and roses, Evie clips him around the head quite grumpily.*

Evie: "You're a complete idiot. What if you'd gotten collared again?? Riddle's definetly not going to be happy when there's a tart, a student and a bunch of roses missing in the morning!!"

Ace: *Now actually quite bummed out.* "I thought you'd like it, y'know? It's like, the most common gift in those stupid rom-coms you watch! The guy shows up with a big bouquet and a box of chocolates and all that..."

*Sighing heavily, Evie drags him by the scruff to her room and shuts the door. At first Ace really thinks she's mad at him and starts to get frustrated, but instead he's chucked onto the floor atop a fluffy blanket.*

Evie: "Shut up and stay still." *Evie begins to roll him up in the blanket like he's a sushi roll, picks him up and places him on her bed. She leaves the room, only to return and sit right ontop of his rolled up state so he can't escape and begins attacking his face with antiseptic wipes.*

Ace: "Wha- wait, hey!! What are you doing, that stings!! Get off of me! Those are my very awesome battle wounds and proof of my hardwork" *Pouting like a kicked puppy as he attempts to unwrap himself.*

Evie: *Pressing a kiss to his lips.* "Oh my knight I'm shining armour, how sweet. I appreciate you getting all of that for me even if its going to get you in trouble, so I'm taking care of you as a thank you for your hardwork. Do you want me to tend to your battle wounds or not?"

Ace: *Reluctantly relaxing into the fluffy blanket wrap. He's still unhappy, but he feels much better knowing she isn't actually mad at him. She was only being harsh because she was worried, and he can't really say much since he acts the same way so he shuts his mouth.* "Yes please...."

Ori: *Hearing Evie and Ace laugh in the other room. It's 11 pm.* "..... I'm sick of this." *Grabs her pillow, her mini blanket she refuses to sleep without and walks off. A little trip later...*

Leona: "Ah-Hah. Little fledgling caught red-handed, eh? What are you doing here?" *smiling lazily. He knows exactly why she's here.*

Ori: "I got lonely. Where's Jack's room?"

Leona: *He let's out a quiet snicker, jabbing a thumb in a certain direction.* "That door there. He'll be asleep by now. Don't be too loud or ill kick you out."

Ori: "As if I'd risk waking him up. Go knock yourself out." *She jokes, waddling off in the direction he pointed her in.*

*Ori quietly opens Jacks door. He's sleeps like he's dead, but the closer she gets too his bed the more he stirs. When she climbs in he doesn't wake up, he doesn't panic and he certainly doesn't hurt her, he can recognise her scent even in his sleep. She lays there for a few hours scrolling quietly through her phone, his arms around her waist and his face buried in the back of her neck.*

*After the main story is over, Evie recovers her strength. No longer plauged by her fatigue, she decides to get a head start on getting herself back into shape. In the courtyard, Evie and Jack are currently having a training session/stand off.*

Deuce: "Are you sure this is safe..? I mean, she's only just recovered and we wouldn't want her to hurt herself..."

Ace: "If it looks like things aren't going well she'll stop." *He says this, but his body is tense as if he's ready to pounce.*

Ortho: "My scan says she's doing just fine, I don't think we should be worried. I'm keeping an eye on her vitals just to make sure she doesn't strain herself, but I'm actually quite surprised at how well her physical recovery is going! Magically she's still getting used to reconnecting with her powers, but physically she's become much healthier in such a short period of time. Maybe it's the fae magic that makes up her genetic code giving her faster recovery timing, like a regeneration buff in an rpg!"

Epel: "I mean, that's cool and all, but she's still only just starting to get getter. Jack is like, twice her size, I'm sure he'll go easy on her but I'm with Deuce on this one."

Sebek: "Don't underestimate the prowess of the wishing star!! Fae have worshipped her for hundreds of years, even in a human state she's still nothing to scoff at!!" *Even though he's praising her strength, he is still just as worried as the others.*

Ace: "ugh, can you all shut up please!?! If you keep blabbering on about being worried you're only gonna make things-"

*Suddenly there's a loud thump, followed by a shocked gasp from Ori, a yowl of surprise from Grim and a groan from Jack. Whipping their hands around, they see the aftermath of Evie having suplexed Jack.*

Evie: "Shit, sorry!! I should have warned you first, you okay there?"

Jack: *Blinking in shock but thoroughly impressed.* "I was not expecting that level of skill from you.... The fact you've retained that ability despite losing your strength for so long is impressive..."

Evie: "Ah, you think so? Fufufu, I mean, gymnastics isn't the only thing I did! I did martial arts for a while too!! Toppling big guys isn't as hard as it seems~" *Very flattered with the smugest grin on her face.*

*Ace, Deuce, Epel, Ortho and Sebek state in awe, all of their Jaws dropped.*

Deuce: "SHE CAN DO STUFF LIKE THAT!?!" *the ex-Delinquent in him is thoroughly terrified and filled with admiration.*

Ortho: "The scan says she barely even broke a sweat doing that.... She must have practiced a lot back in her home world!! She's like a total tank!!"

Ace: *swallowing as if he's choking.* "now THAT is my kind of woman..."

Sebek: "They type that could kill you?!"

Ace: "Absolutely." *Grinning and completely ready to smooch her silly for being so awesome later.*

Ace: "....why did you stop touching me."

Evie: *Currently trying to do her homework.* "Because I'm busy?"

Ace: "Thats not an excuse for you to stop touching me."

Evie: "I need both of my hands for this what do you possibly want me to do about that, baby?"

Ace: "I dunno, maybe just stop doing it? Let's use our thinking caps here."

Evie: "This project is due tomorrow, Ace, speaking of which why aren't you doing your homework?" *Lifting her head up to look at him suspiciously.*

Ace: *taking his chance now that she's distracted, he crouches underneath her desk and places his chin on her legs, looking up at her with pleading eyes as he nuzzles into her thighs.* "Homework is boring, I can just rush it all tomorrow, no biggie. Now keep touching me."

Evie: *Letting out a deep sigh of dissapointment, she looks down at Ace's pathetic face for a few moments. Eventually, she caves, placing her hand over his face to acknowledge his need for contact.*

Ace: *He huffs, reluctantly accepting it but still letting out the occasional complaint. When her hand unconsciously moves to comb through his hair he melts and relaxes, letting her do her work in peace, albeit a bit trickier with only one hand available.*

Ori: "Y'know, you're like... Way too nice to me."

Jack: *Looking up from where his head had been resting on her chest.* "Im sorry, what?"

Ori: "You're way too nice! Like, you don't ask me for anything unless you have too, you do things for me without me even having to worry you'll forget about it, you listen to me when I tell you things...."

Jack: *Still incredibly confused.* "Ori... You're just listing common courtesy at me?"

Ori: "I didn't know that was a common thing!! I mean, most men I dated used to ask me for money, or to impress their friends, or for pictures, or just so they could say somebody was there's, or so I would buy them things, or so I'd give them test answers-"

Jack: ".....Well, for starters those aren't men those are children. Secondly, why would I need to ask you for anything when I can most definitely do it myself, especially not something as stupid as test answers. And thirdly, they asked you for pictures?"

Ori: *Now realising she may have said too much.* ".....no."

Jack: *Already trapping her in his arms and curling himself around her. His calloused hands are very gently running over her feathers and his tail is curling around her leg.* "We won't talk about it until you feel you can then, but just know I definitely won't be asking you for any of that anytime soon. I rely on you because you're my safety, not because I want to steal from you. You don't need to earn my affection, not now and not ever. I love you because I want too."

Ori: *Now very, very silent. She simply stares off into space for a moment before her large wings curled around them both like blankets.* ".....im gonna buy you something later."

Jack: "Ori I just said I didn't want anything."

Ori: "fine then, but you atleast have to let me bake you something."

Jack: *Letting out a soft sigh.* "You're fawning again."

Ori: "No I'm not shut up!!"

*Once again, Ori has stayed up impossibly late. Without melatonin available to her sleeping becomes impossible, and so instead she decides if she can't sleep she'll find new hobbies to pass the time. One night, during a first year gang sleepover, Ori cannot sleep. Carefully sneaking away from the cuddle pile on the floor she creeps over to the kitchen to grab some sugary snacks, scrolling through her phone as she decides what to do. She still has that paint by number Crewel got her ages ago, and that cookbook Trein gifted her that belonged to his late wife... Maybe she could try making something for everybody to wake up too? Completely lost in her thoughts, she startled by the sudden shadow that looks over her. With a slow head turn, she looks back at a very sleepy Jack who seems quite unhappy to see her awake.*

Ori: "....goodmorning.."

Jack: "Its 2 am."

Ori: "Yup.. Uhhm... That's morning, yeah. Well done."

Jack: "and you're eating ice cream."

Ori: "Its really warm, y'know? You're all like living radiators... Eep!" *Ori squeaks as she suddenly lifted by her waist. She's simply held there in mid air by Jack like she's a naughty cat.*

Jack: "We're going back to bed now." *He turns, placing her down facing the doorway and away from her tub of ice cream. He very lightly pats her head before gently guiding her back to the cuddle pile.*

Ori: "But I reeeeaaally don't want too... It's so hot and stuffy and I'm so bored! Sleeping is way too hard..."

Jack: "Then we can go sleep in your room. You still need to sleep though. Sleep is incredibly important for your physical and mental wellbeing, no wonder you're always complaining about feeling faint if you keep doing this to yourself..."

Ori: ".... You and your well put together life- huh?" *Ori pauses as he rest his chin on her head. He simply stands like that for a few moments, bending down to lace his arms around her before nuzzling his head down and into the side of her neck, her hair in his face. He doesn't say anything, but the way his hand gently moves to cover hers tells her enough.* ".... Okay. Fine. I'll go to bed."

*In these moments, Ori and Jack don't really need to say much to eachother. Somehow, a simple look or a brush of their hands seems to convey everything they wished they could say without trouble.*
