So I got a month's free trial of Netflix because I needed to finish The Haunting of Hill House (I'd started at someone else's house). I'm not sure what else I should look into while I've got it and I trust your taste. Any recommendations?
Loved The Haunting of Hill House mostly, yes.THO I’m really bad at recommending tv shows because I rarely watch them and most of them inevitably disappoint me. And idk if many of them are on netflix.
Loved The Terror, though that’s not on netflix. Also loved the bbc miniseries of And Then There Were None but that is also not on netflix. Neither is Black Sails, which I liked the 1st and 2nd season of immensely.The first season of Peaky Blinders is good…and perhaps the second. Idk it’s been a while. Other people were less critical of the later seasons than I, though, SO maybe don’t listen to me.I liked Turn well enough but have yet to watch the most recent (I think) season.Deadwood I got real into once I was able to stomach its brutality, of which there is a lot of.I liked Manhattan too, ‘bout the Manhattan Project.
But see, I’m real bad at recommending shows I’M SORRY, I’M NO HELP AT ALL. My taste in tv shows is so conditional because I find that most of them run the risk of being Too Long imo that they commit narrative sins that knock them down a bit for me. That isn’t to say they’re BAD per se, but it does make it hard for me to fling forward full hearted recommendations.
